The famed paper carving artist, Chiang last year went to the super convenience shops without his mask on, was displeased at the clerk, Tsai’s asking him to put his mask on, got into a fight, Chiang went home, got a sickle, and stabbed three times into Tsai’s heart causing Tsai to die, after he murdered the clerk, he’d used the insanity plea of “I only remember segments from murdering the man”, the D.A. had the psych evaluation done by the hospital, and found that as Tsai was stabbing the clerk to death, he wasn’t incapacitated mentally or psychologically, yesterday, Chiang was prosecuted on murder, and the D.A. asked the courts for a heavy sentence.
Chiang (age 41) in the midnight hours of November 21st of last, headed over to the super convenience shop on Guanfeng Road in Guishan, Taoyuan to buy things, because Tsai the store clerk verbally told him to mask up, otherwise, he refused to check him out, Chiang left in upset then put his mask on, returned back to the shop, and, as he’d paid for the items, he’d, taken his mask off, and thrown it at the clerk, Tsai, they started in altercation.
Chiang went home again, and changed into another set out outerwear, with the short sickle (the blade of 16-centimeters), the craft’s knife (6.5 centimeter blade), as well as a screw driver, went back to the super convenience shop in the early hours of the morn, as soon as he saw Tsai exited the shop, he’d, stabbed the man using that sickle in Tsai’s thorax and abdomen, Tsai was stabbed in the heart, started bleeding out, fell down outside the store, and died, Chiang then, turned himself in.
During his interrogation with the D.A.’s office, he’d admitted getting into argument with the clerk with a knife, but claimed that he’d lost his sense, and gone home, changed, with the knife, that he was going to fight Tsai, and he’d been on anti-depressants for a long time too.
The witnesses retold, that Tsai exited the shop wounded, pulled out the sickle, and asked him to call for help, then, Chiang had, grabbed him by the head, and, rammed it against the pavement, and after he’d confirmed, that the victim had, died, he believe, that Chiang was of sound mind.
The coroner confirmed the cause of death of the victim bleeding out from getting stabbed in the chest, and the surveillance outside the super convenience shop captured the murder too; the D.A. sent Chiang to Changgang Hospital in Linkou for a psych evaluation, and it showed that Chiang had sleep disorder, and symptoms of depression, but, “not considered the major psychiatric conditions”, that his judgment, cognition, and intelligent were, all within, normal range.
The D.A. believed, that Chiang was of sound mind, before and during the murder, that he’d, brutally murdered the clerk because he was told by him to mask up, that he didn’t admit to what he’d done, and asked the courts to give him a heavy sentence.
And so this, is still, not going to be the very last, there were the cases of the store clerks’ asking the customers to mask up and getting stabbed, or murdered from before, and this perp had no emotional control, he’d, gotten angered at the clerk’s request for him to mask up, and stabbed the man to death, and he deserves the severest of punishment available in this country.
