The Light of Humanity in the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict

The smallest light of hope, that still, shone brighter than ever before, in the midst of, this, dark war of Russia and Ukraine right now, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Russian invasion on Ukraine became a focus of attention in Taiwan.  The words, “Today it’s Ukraine, tomorrow, Taiwan”, caused the tensions to heighten up more than ever before, and, the developments made us empathize the situation, and we began paying closer attention to the wars on the eastern European front.

On National Women’s Day, March 8th, the international news posted a story of children, escaping thousands of kilometers, to get out of the line of fire, shocking the world.  The eleven-year-old child from the city of Zaporizhzhia, with his backpack, the plastic bag, with the passport, the phone numbers written by his loved ones, walking across the warzones over a thousand kilometers by foot, arriving to Slovakia to the family relatives that live there.  The war is cruel, but the young boy’s face radiating the smiles, moving a lot of the people who see.  The head of internal affairs of Slovakia told, that he is the biggest hero of the evening, later on, the local press found the mother who was in the line of fire of the war, and as she was being interviewed, she’d, cried.

“I can’t leave my own, she’s not mobile.  So, I’d, pushed my son onto the trains to the Slovakian border, people there are open minded, even though Slovakia is a nation that’s smaller in size, please, do help save the children from Ukraine, and provide them with a safe harbor.”

The wars brought out the deepest desires and humanities that normally don’t come out, force us to see the evils in humanity.  Comparing, the humanity shouldn’t be measured by the sizes of the countries, and no separation of nationalities, “a tiny country, with the biggest hearts of the locals”, this should be something that we can take from, we need to have open hearts, to win the respects of the world.  The cause and consequences of the Ukrainian-Russian conflicts are complicated, and yet, maybe a bigger country’s invading into a smaller one is justifiable, but it can’t mask up the desires to take over that’s behind it.

The wars are scary, evading the wars, stopping the wars, is the wisdom that all of the leaders of all the countries in the world must have.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine, we see how harsh the wars are physically, and we also, feel the forces driving the war onward invisibly, the economics of the global community, as well as how the human heart is turning too.  This war is testing the glows of humanity, and the moral courage of everybody in the world right now.

And so, despite the badness, there’s still, the smaller incidents of hopes, that are, getting, magnified, because we are all stuck, in this, darkened place right now, and, we are, in desperate need of some light, and, the cases of the young children, escaping out of Ukraine, are, inspiring, but, still not quite enough, for the western world to intervene, to end this conflict, because the major world powers are now taking, a hand-off approach, don’t know why though…
