Dementia & Her Cat

Dementia got a cat, or rather, it’s the cat, that started, owning her…

Dementia lives alone on her own, and, longed to have someone there, to talk to, one day, a cat, came into her home, and started, squatting there.  Dementia didn’t mind it at all, in fact, she’d, kinda, sorta, enjoyed, his, company, I mean, he just, sat there, not made a peep, and, she’d already, had the litter box set up (b/c before Dementia became who she currently is, she had, cats!!!), and the feed, the water too, so, this brand new cat that came to her, doesn’t really, impose on her one bit.

Dementia and her cat, since the cat moved in, dementia had someone extra she could talk to, other than those, auditory hallucinations (in the latter stages of progression???), and the shadows on the walls she could, interact with.  That darn cat, kept dementia company.  But sometimes, the cat would, wander off, and get lost, inside that labyrinth of forget inside dementia’s mind, and, as dementia called out to it, she’d heard no, “meow”, and she got worried, and started, getting louder, louder, louder, in calling out to her cat…

Dementia started, becoming, reliant on her cat, that was, all that she now had, the only one who’d, made her feel, like she’s, still a human being, ‘cuz the rest of the world had, forgotten dementia and her, existence.
