People from this country, living in Ukraine, reporting on the matter of Russian invasion locally, living close to the warzones, and their experiences are, too real, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
As the war happened in Ukraine, the person, Hong from Taichung who is living in Kiev was interviewed by Taiwanese press yesterday and stated, “it’s now, a total state of chaos here”, he’d planned to migrate to Poland, or in the southwest directions, to dodge the effects of the war.
Hong told, that he and his Ukrainian wife resides in the countryside, but, with the aerial alerts ongoing, it meant that they have to dodge out in the bomb shelters, and the military aircrafts are flying overboard all around them.
“This is very abnormal, because this is the countryside”. Hong told, this means, that there’s no doubt, Ukraine is faced with the imminent war with Russia.
Hong told, that the residents in Kiev, because the cars can’t get out, they have everything they can possibly carry on their backs, and tried to escape out of the city; and, all the local banks had shut down, which means, that the citizens can’t get the money from their accounts out
While Hong faced some of the problems too, he’d told, that two months ago, he’d notified the diplomatic department of Taiwan, hoping that the offices of foreign affairs can take this problem more seriously, but he’d not heard their response yet; while the marriage certificate of him and his wife hadn’t been issued to them, he was supposed to receive the papers by March 1st, but based off of Ukrainian law, he’d had to make his way back to Kiev to retrieve the certificate of marriage to his own wife.
Hong told, that if he wants to apply for a visa to Taiwan for his wife, then, he’d needed to get the visas for his wife, and had to provide Taiwan with the marriage certificate issued by the Ukrainian government, but if they have it, they can expedite the paper works to prove their marriage as valid, because Ukraine is now under the fires of war, the government probably don’t have the mind, to help him certify his marriage to his own wife.
Ms. Yo, who’d traveled to Ukraine for a short stay in mid-February told the papers, it wasn’t that tense locally, because she has her kids to look after, along with the rules and regulations of the quarantines from Taiwan, “we can only stay put for now”. The press tried to get back in touch with her yesterday, but she could no longer be interviewed, and, only told that she was okay on FB.
And so, this, is how bad it’s, getting in Ukraine, and, this may be what will happen to Taiwan too, if China were to, actually, ATTACK, and, if China attacked here, the people on this island will surely, spin into, this sort of a frenzy, trying to escape, and, like many who are currently stuck in Ukraine right now, by then, we may not be able to, escape too.
