It’s not the least bit surprising, that right after the Chinese New Year’s, the lifting of the restrictions of imports of agricultural produces from Fukushima came into debate.
As the earthquake hit Japan in March of 2011, the Department of Welfare Sanitations immediately placed the bans on the imports of the food items of Fukushima and areas around there. And, since Tsai took office back in 2016, she’d started, opening up the imports of the areas hit by the nuclear leaks one by one, although, she was forced to hold the press conferences for the matter to hear public speak, but, there were, ten forums in only three days, and the public criticized the government for being too hurried, that the forums didn’t offer any exchanges of differences of beliefs and opinions.
In 2018, the “Anti-Nuclear Foods public votes” passe with 7.79 million votes, and it’d been just three years since, Taiwan’s fight to join CPTPP, solely based off of whether or not to open up import of produces from Fukushima came into debate again. From the government led by Ma, the government hollered on that they wanted in to the Comprehensive & Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, but Taiwan kept missing the timing, back when Japan was the head of chair of this by rotation, it doesn’t look optimistic, and now, as Singapore rotated to the chair country position, it’d stated, that it would bring “political complications” if we are involved, it may be even harder, for us, to get that membership to the group.
And, this still just showed, how in the past, this country had, bought its membership into these international organizations, and China hadn’t stepped up to block us from before, because Taiwan didn’t “claim” itself on being an “independent country” from China yet, and now, gaining that golden ticket would be even harder, because, the rest of the world is realizing, just how big a piece of a pie China actually is, that’s what, more than two billion now, and, no country is, stupid enough, to cut itself off from business with China, and so, they’d come up with these, “trade-offs” for this god damn government to gobble up, first, it’s the pork with ractopamine getting in from the U.S., and then, it’s, the nuclear contaminated agricultural products from Japan, and also, dumping of nuclear waste water into the oceans contaminating the fish that we’re, consuming, and eventually, this bullshitting country will become, a WASTE land, because we allow this government run by the DDP to, screw us all over!
At the end, we still only got ourselves to blame, because, we are still, NOT victims, but, enablers here, and beside, the people here are now, used to being, enslaved by this government, we don’t even feel like, stand up and fighting anymore…
