A paranoid thought, that, was what drove this man to murder his own wife, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The forty-six-year-old woman, Hong married Lo, a forty-year-old man, in the four short months she’d been married, she’d been, abused multiple times, she ran back to hide out in her own family of origin, demanded a divorce, Lo was upset, and in the middle of the night, he’d, snuck into his in-law’s home, strangled his wife to death, then fled. The district attorneys found that three days before he’d killed his own wife, he’d written down, “I will kill somebody today” in his notebook, and confirmed that he had, abused his wife, and committed murder, asked the courts of a harsh sentence, the Kaohsiung District Court sentenced Lo to life, and stripped him of his public office position for life.
The verdict pointed out, that Lo and Hong fell in love, that two years ago in March they were married, after they were married, Hong then found that Lo no only abused drugs, that his primary source of income was from altering the guns, she’d consoled him to turn his life around, to do something else that’s, legal, but Lo wouldn’t listen to her, and had, physically abused her repeatedly.
No more than four months after Hong had been married, she’d been, covered in bruises, and she couldn’t stand the abuse anymore, ran back to her own family’s home to hide, and, give the doweries back to Lo, wanted to end the marriage, but Lo refused, suspected that she was having an affair, and had turned him in to the police on the possessions of firearms.
On July tenth two years ago, Lo snuck into Hong’s parents’ home, and, started arguing with Hong in the bedroom, then, he’d, strangled her to death, then, changed out of the clothes he came into her parents’ home with, and got away by car; and the friends of Hong discovered her dead on the morning, and they’d reported it, and the police was out to capture Lo.
As Lo was arrested, he’d denied the allegations of murder, but, the police found Lo’s DNA on Hong’s neck, and they’d also found that he’d texted his friend, “I killed someone”, “I’d already murdered one, I will murder more”; three days before he’d strangled Hong to death, he’d written on his notebook, “I’m definitely killing someone today.”, the district attorneys indicted him on murder, and asked the courts to sentence him severely.
Lo has a history of mental illness, his defense claimed that before he’d committed the murder he’d taken a ton of anti-psychotic medications, asked for a reduced sentence; but the judge found that Lo answered clearly to the inquiries of what happened before, during, and after the murder, that before he’d left Hong’s resident, he’d taken a shower, and changed into clean clothes, that he wasn’t impaired in his behaviors.
The Collectivist Courts believed, that although Lo admitted to murdering Hong, he was still evasive in a lot of the details of what happened, that he’d, strangled his own wife to death, because of his own paranoia, and showed no remorse, sentenced him to life.
And so, this, is how this murderer was “caught”, sure, he’d admitted to murder, but, because he’d planned the murder of his own wife out in detail, which proves premeditation, that’s why he was given the life-term, and now, he will be tortured by his own guilty conscience, for the rest of his life.
