As the Woman Went Out to Exercise, She Was Attacked at Knife-Point, the Police Arrested the Suspect, the Location of the Incident was at a Newly Built Residential Area, with Not Enough Population, the Taiwanese Railroad Company is Upping the Patrol on the Area

The man, Lo, two evenings ago, saw a young woman sitting alone on the steps of the train station of Taiwanese Railroad, Chiaozhou Station in Pingdong, he was suspected of pulling out a knife, robbed her of the six hundred dollars N.T. she had in cash, then, dragged her to two hundred meters away into the bushes, and attempted to rape her, as the woman fought back, she was cut; as Lo committed the crimes, he’d gone to his ex-girlfriend’s home in Kaohsiung to hide out, was arrested yesterday morning, charged with obstructions of sexual freedom, robbery, attempted murder, and other charges.

The perpetrator, Lo is in his thirties, worked as a temporary hired work, with priors in drugs, is a person of concern for the police; the location where the robbery, and attempted rape occurred, there was a row of mansion, a newly developed residential region, unpopulated, especially at night; the Taiwanese Railroad Company stated, that they’d, upped the patrol staff, and asked the workers to be in high alert, to watch out for suspicious individuals.

Based off of understanding, the victim woman is in her twenties, two nights ago, she’d gone out for an exercise run, at around nine in the night, she’d passed by the back station of the Chiaozhou Station, sat on the steps to rest up.

As the man Lo saw her alone by herself, he’d pulled out a fruit knife, demanded her to turn over all her money, the woman in a panic, gave him the six hundred dollars N.T. she had; then, he’d held the victim at knife point, dragged her to two hundred meters away, into the bushes to rape, and, forced her to fellate him.

During her attack, the woman kept struggling, to fight the man off, hollered aloud several times, and she was injured as she attempted to get away, sustained the cuts on her neck, and on her shoulders, and because there are local residences nearby, Lo was afraid that someone may have heard the victim scream, he’d immediately fled the scene, and tossed the knife he used into a nearby ditch.

As the woman, still in shock, ran home, she went to the police with her mother by her side, and immediately went to the hospital, and thankfully, she’d only, suffered minor cuts.

The police after being notified, started reviewing over the nearby surveillance, found that Lo was on a scooter to the scene of the crime, and identified him based off of his license plate; Lo is a local, but he’d, escaped to his ex-girlfriend’s home in Kaohsiung to dodge arrest, yesterday morning, he was taken in by the police, he’d admitted to what he’d done, and, told the police where he’d, ditched the knife.

The police reminded the public, as women go out alone, they should carry a whistle, pepper spray, or other objects they can use to defend themselves, and, be watchful of the suspicious around them.

Yeah uh, this is how the world is, getting more and more dangerous, for women, because we are usually, the victims of these, violent, and random attacks, and, even as the new laws were signed, the anti-harassment bills, anti-stalking bills, etc., etc., etc., it still doesn’t do enough to keep us safe.
