The Omicron strain only got discovered last November in South Africa and Botswana, because there are seventy mutation markers, it can evade the antibodies of the currently developed vaccines, and start multiplying fast inside the individuals who’d contracted it, and spreads very quickly, the rate of spread is multiple times than the Delta, and the Alpha mutated strains.
Actually, the original Omicron strain had, split into three branches: the B.A.1 is trending in Europe and America, the BA.2 is found in Southeast Asian countries such as India, and the Philippines; while the BA.3 strain are only limited in the South African countries. Currently, it’s the B.A. 1 strain that’s trending through northern Taiwan, Wang is probably responding to the BA.2 strains when he said that Filipino Strain. All of these viruses, will probably, get into the country, with the travelers coming back.
Based off of virology, the characteristics of the coronavirus is species and age-specific, there’s no cross contaminations of the various species of animals, and some of the strains are only active and showed in certain age groups. But, all of these principles change with the Delta and Omicron strains; other than infecting the humans, they infect the felines, and the rodents too, causing respiratory symptoms. Currently, the scientists believe, that the hamsters shared the same development of contraction as humans, and they’re currently researching into how the Omicron strain was contracted, how it spreads itself out in the body, the conditions it may cause, as well as if it would cause damages to the internal organs. As for its effect on young children? We’re still waiting on more research. While MERS-CoV started up back at the end of 2019, and most of the infected were asymptomatic, or only had mild symptoms, but the global community started using large doses of vaccines, developing the vaccines, and the virus also, mutated, out of evolutionary needs to survive, into multiple mutated strains; currently, the orally administered medication for MERS-CoV produced by Pfizer has the means to stop the Omicron strain to duplicate its DNA in the human bodies; and, as the Omicron strain is under dual pressures of the vaccines and the orally administered medications, it can, easily, escape, by mutating.
I believe, that this virus isn’t just hard to destroy, but it will, keep on, evolving, faster and faster, into, more invasive forms, “in a few years, the Omicron strains should still be around, only because, we tried to, block it from, mutating.”, the head of CDC, Chen, should probably, consider, the means of, adapting the country’s people to, coexist with the virus now.
And so, like evolution stated, the more you try to kill us, the faster we will, mutate, because we want to survive, just take a look at the flu virus, isn’t it getting harder, and harder, and more and more serious by the year? Why is that, huh??? Because humans are, trying, desperately, to try to stop ourselves from contracting it, thus, we are coming up with the stronger and stronger vaccines by the year, which speeds up the process of mutation in these viruses, because they want to survive, just like the rest of us, humans, in this god damn world, and, had the world not gotten so FREAKED out over MERS-CoV, then, it wouldn’t have become, what it is currently, weaker in its lethalness, but, quicker to spread.
