A database that helps returned these unidentified deceased persons, back to their own families, so they can finally, bury their loved ones, properly, off of the Newspapers, translated…
There’d been a skeleton of a John Doe that was discovered by the local citizens in Taoyuan who were hiking up the Dadong Mountains, the police couldn’t identify the body, and after ruling out foul play, they too the DNA to save it for comparisons later; the Hsinbei Police awhile ago, filtered through the data, suspected that the remains may belong to a man, Chang who’d gone missing since August of 2009, contacted his mother to get her DNA to confirm it, to help Chang get home.
The police chief of Hsinbei Police, Huang stated, that in the past, in missing persons cases, they’d used the external appearances of the individuals gone missing to compare, but with time, these appearances will no longer be the exact same, which makes it hard to find those who went missing, the Hsinbei Police Department worked alongside the forensic research department, the social services, to push forth the DNA scientific means of identification, other than retrieving the DAN and the relational DNA TAF certifications, the offices also bought the newest equipment to have the system up and running, and because of it, the Hsinbei Police were able to use the services of “DNA to help find the missing persons”, which won the award of “Excellent Service Provisions from the Government”.
The office director, Huang of the Hsinbei Forensics Center told, that this service since its beginning, had helped identified nineteen john and jane does, with the recovery and identification growing in multiples, other than this case of thirteen years, there’d been the recoveries, and identifications of twenty-six, and nineteen year unidentified bodies which were, sent home to their loved ones successfully.
And so, this program helps those who’d lost their loved ones, find them back, so they can finally find closure, laying their loved ones, to rest, it’s a good program, that gives the families of those who’d been missing, or dead the closures they need.
