The former mayor of Kaohsiung’s speech had, touched all who’d shown up, supporting him for wherever he’s headed next in the political realms here in Taiwan, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
There was, a gathering of thousands of fans of Han, the former mayor of Kaohsiung at the Da-An Forest Park, those unwavered supporters finally, got that knock from the former mayor of Kaohsiung to make that house call here. As the man led the crowd in singing, “When we all get together”, followed by “Missing You”, “Persistence”, and “Friends”, bringing the activities to the climax. Seeing how those fans sung along, wiping off the tears that fell from their eyes, getting all worked up, or maybe, that, is the feeling that’s, shared commonly amongst them all.
Han stated in his speech: “the most beautiful sight in Taiwan is the people”, no matter here or overseas, there were the supporters filled with the angers, the upsets, the worries, and they’d expressed their concerns to him, “What will happen to Taiwan?”, and all of these concerns, made Han cry, it’d been two years since his impeachment back in 2020, and the goings on inside this country is still, very, worrisome.

Or, maybe, this can be, interpreted, as Han’s heartfelt words of his worries for the people, for the country of, Taiwan. Because, the news media, along with the party not in power right now all viewed this event as, Han’s, comeback to the political realms. But, as Han got on the stage, he’d stated, that he will continue his work in the nonprofit, that he had, NO plans to start his own election campaign currently. And, the DDP should feel relieved, and not feel so strung up too tight by Han now.
Han introduced the nobodies, the ordinary citizens he’d written out on his publications, “When Mr. Han Came Knocking”, his classic statement was, the keypoint of the entire event: the hopes of Taiwan isn’t in the politicians, it’s in the kindness, the goodwill of the people, the basis of the kindness, of passions, of support, especially, “Supporting Han, is showing support for this value”. The politicians who are still, fighting one another, calculating everything now, should you NOT all start considering, how you all need to, evaluate yourselves, examine your own behaviors, as you sit for one day in your, offices.
And so, this former mayor of Kaohsiung who had been, impeached for, absolutely, NO just cause struck a chord with the people who’d gathered around to show their support for him, and, he is right, in that we need to, return back to the core values of kindness, of working together, despite our party affiliations, because we are all in the same boat (the country) together, and, if the country sinks, we all sink with it, and yet, does the DDP see it this way? Of course not, and, just as expected, the DDP sees Han’s behaviors as, his trying to set up for his election of the mayor of Taipei next.
