By the 26th of last month, she’d started coughing lightly, on the fourth, her cough worsened, on the eighth, she’d lost her olfactory senses, and bought the self-test kit and tested positive for the virus, on the ninth she’d gone into the hospital and the positive contraction was made.

The director of N.T.U. Children’s Hospital Huang told, that the symptoms of coughing the case had from November 26th to December 1st wasn’t from the contraction of the virus, that she’d started coughing harder since the fourth, that, seemed more like MERS-CoV symptoms, plus her Ct rate was too low as she’d given the biological samples on the nineth, which showed, that she contracted the virus, only, recently.
Huang believed, that if the actual date of onset is December fourth, then, if these few days, there are the unknown sources of contraction, that meant that the virus had already, spread into the local communities.
The assistant director of the Changgang Hospital in Linkou, Chiu also believed, that December fourth was the actual onset date, and that it has nothing to do with the female researcher getting bitten by the rat, that it’s probably a contamination of the laboratory setting, that the case had come into contact with the virus, and accidentally touched her mouth, her eyes, her nose, and accidentally contracted it. Huang stressed, “this is the easiest to define in the sources”, the D.N.A. of the virus is coming out today, and, they only needed to compare to see if the laboratory has the exact same strain, then, everything will be, clarified.
As for the laboratory being a petri dish for contraction of MERS, the director of New Virus Infectious Diseases research, Shih stated, that the system must be corrected immediately, the laboratory researchers are at high-risk, and the quick scans should NOT be the measures for testing after being bitten by the rats in the labs, the PCRs should be performed, and continually too.
Shih believed, every lab has a different standard operating procedures, but all the labs need to have alternative plans in case something were to go wrong.
