How do we select a preschool? Wu told, that as parents, we can observe how our children are growing and adapting, if after sending the kids to school, the parents learned that they have a different view of education with the instructor, they can communicate with the school instructors; and if there’s no agreements reached, then, the parents can consider transferring the child to a more fitting preschool or kindergarten.
Kao said, the child may exerts signs of anxieties of starting school, rejecting to learn, and refusing to go to school, some lasts up to six months, some, only a week or two. The parents need to be gentle, and supportive, helping their young through this adjustment phase, and if the child talks about something awful that happened at school, the parents should use curiosity to guide the child to tell them, this can help the child pick up ways to problem-solve on their own. If the occurrences of maladaptation are happening too frequently, and immediately transferring the child would teach her/him, that when they bump into problems in their lives, all they need to do is escape.
