How this man’s cancer changed his outlook on life, and now, he’s, offering the emotional/psychological as well as the social support to those who are, diagnosed, giving them a place where they feel, at ease, to visit, surrounded with, nature’s, beauty, translated…
The West Coast Speedway 61, the section of Tongxiao, Miaoli was noted as the Taima Borough of the western coasts, and had been noted as the most beautiful freeway, and, Lo’s farm is, one of the hidden gems in this area.
More than ten years ago, the oncologist gave him only a few months left, the hotshot boss of the construction industries, Lo, deserted everything he’d found in the glorious city, put up with the sufferings of the cancer, came to this beautiful countryside to wait for death to come and claim him. And, the heavens was willing to give Lo a chance to renew his own life, in the beauties of the natural environment, without any pressures in his life, Lo’s cancer was, controlled. Because of the opportunity, he’d begun, from a single flower, he’d started his connection with organic farming, and poured his heart and soul into growing the completely wholesome and organic produces, and because this was close to the needs of the cancer patients, there were the families of cancer patients who’d come, with their own loved ones, and Lo always, welcomed them all with arms wide open.

The after effect of Lo’s surgery was that he couldn’t articulate clearly, but, Lo used his optimistic manner, and ingenuity, to welcome all cancer patients to connect with him and each other, to offer the positive energies, it’d made me feel like he was, a buddha. He really wanted to help out the cancer patients, using his own experiences, to encourage them, to NEVER give up, and invited everybody along, to get closer to nature, when they find the time, and had planned to organize a camping area on his farm, so everybody can get intimately related to this land.
As I left the farm, driving down that path paved with the glow of the setting sun, that surge of warmth came from within my heart. How blessed I’d been, to meet this, warrior of life, “if the flowers bloom, the butterflies will come”, I’m sure, that Lo’s life will, help shed light on everybody whom he will come to meet. Before we left, we’d made a date, to get back to the campsite of the farm again. Meeting up with a wonderful man, in the midst of nature’s wonderful environment, I’m, very, happy.
And so this man is, giving back, in his own way, by offering the needed social, emotional support for cancer patients like himself, and, he’d started this, wonderful place, to get people closer to nature, and we all need to learn to exist with nature, peacefully, like this man had learned to, because, it’s the right way to go about living our lives, besides, when we go against nature, bad things tend to happen.
