The primary white jury after viewing the murder of the African American male three times, and deliberating for about ten hours, the three Caucasian males who’d pursued after the African American man, Arbery, were all found guilty of murder, the three is facing life in prison. President Biden stated, that the verdict showed, how the justice system works, that the government should make a future, that helps no one to live in fear because of their skin color; the VP, Harris also called that the government needs to continue its work, to fight for, justice.
Gregory McMichael, Travis McMichael, and their neighbor, last February, pursued and murdered the jogger, Arbery, trapped him in a quite back alley, then, gunned him down; this case originally didn’t get enough attention, until the footages went viral, then, Arbery’s death became, a cause for racism.
And now, all three men are faced with life-in-prison, the judge will decide, if they are going to be eligible for probation or not.
As the courts read aloud the twenty-three counts of guilty verdicts, at the final count, Arbery’s father started screaming and jumping, left the courts, as the final verdict was read, Arbery’s mother fisted her hands, kept her head lowered.
Arbery’s father told, “my son was only running, and holding on to his dreams.” More than a dozen of African American supporters hugged and cried outside the courts.
The primarily white jury had, deliberated for about ten hours, and found the three Caucasian suspects, guilty; the jury received the case on the noon of the twenty-third, and were called back to court on the morning of the twenty-fourth, and had been asked to watch the two versions of the videos of the murdered victim, one was an original, the other, the investigators had, reduced the shadows, and the jury watched each three times.
The jury also listened to the contents of the 9-1-1 call again. The McMichaels told the police, that they suspected that Arbery was breaking and entering, committing a robbery, but the D.A. pointed out, there’s no evidence of such.
Guilty for being, “colored”…
The McMichaels’ attorney told the court, that the pair didn’t do anything wrong, they believed, that the footages can help their case; the attorneys told, that the McMichaels are regrettable for causing this tragedy.
The father and son planned to appeal, the attorney stated, that he and his team were disappointed at the verdict, but they will respect it, he’d considered that after Thanksgiving, to have a brand new law set up.
And so, is this, justice? That the, two WHITE guys who’d, GUNNED an innocent BLACK man down gets a guilty verdict? Nowhere NEAR it, because, this had happened before, from the case where the college student got shot in his own neighborhood, for being, BLACK, and this shit just keeps on happening, again, and again, and again, because all we see is, the color of others’ skins, and, no amount of amendments to the constitution, even IF the punishments are becoming harsher, will do a thing for this problem.
