The Mother of a Four-Year-Old Took Her by Foot to the Hospital, the Toddler Died

There’s, negligence to say the least here!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

A four-year-old girl in Taoyuan, was having troubles breathing, her mother found her, but not taken her to the hospitals right away, until the child’s body turned cold around midnight last night, and didn’t respond to touch, that was when her mother carried her, and walked to the hospitals, the paramedics tried resuscitating her, but she died; the district attorneys and police found that the child had been malnourished long-term, with injuries on her head, but there’s no evidence of neglect or abuse found yet, after the interrogations, they’d sent the parents back home, the authorities are waiting for the autopsy results.

The police investigators found, that the family has four members, the thirty-year-old stepfather is a delivery driver, the twenty-two-year-old mother is unemployed, taking care of the children at home, the child has a half-sister with different fathers; during the time, the father was out making the deliveries, the mother and daughters were at home alone on their own.

The child’s mother claimed, that two nights ago, as her daughter was lying in bed, she’d had troubles breathing, her rate of breath was a bit slowed, she thought that her young only needed rest, not called it in, then, she’d fallen asleep by her child’s side, until two days ago, around midnight when she got up for the bathrooms, she’d found her daughter lying next to her was, unresponsive, called her husband, then, felt her child’s hand, found the young girl cold, carried her to the hospital 2.6 kilometers away from their home to get help.

The mother-daughter arrived at the hospital at around three in the morning yesterday, and, the young girl was declared dead shortly after the emergency medical staff performed the resuscitation measures, they sent the body to the funeral home, the funeral home workers found there’s no death certificate that came with the body, notified the police at seven in the morn yesterday.

Based off of understanding, the young girl had been malnourished long-term, with bruising on her head, contusions on her eye, lightly injured; the child’s mother told, that her eldest had a congenital heart condition, that she doesn’t gain the weight, but she’d not paid special attention to her, as for why she’d walked to the hospital to get help, because she “worried it might get too pricy to flag down a cab.”

The city’s domestic violence prevention center told, that the family wasn’t registered as low-income, but, the economics isn’t well for them, there wasn’t any calls on record in the past, the social workers didn’t note anything odd with the parents either; the younger daughter is healthy, no signs of malnutrition, and she’s placed in foster care for now.

The D.A. examined the body, the cause of death was found to be malnutrition, the external injuries weren’t fatal, there’s no signs of the young girl being abused or neglected found, an autopsy is scheduled for next week, to clarify the cause of death, the stepfather and birthmother sent back home.

At least, there’s, the charges of, neglect, if this child’s cause of death was not caused by external forces, if this child has some kind of a physical condition that’s, caused her to die, the parents still didn’t do enough, to save this kid, and so, there’s something here, we just don’t know what, because, the autopsy hadn’t come out yet.
