There’s that café, by the shores, we’d gone to, back when we were in love, that was, our location to go out on dates, from way, way, way back when…
The café by the shores, it’d now become, not so hot a spot, as everything else around it took its spotlight away, and that café, isn’t what it used to be, crammed with the visitors now, now, there’s, only, a few members of the local communities, or outsiders who’d, gone in to dine.
what it used to, be…
The café by the shore, this was the place, wasn’t it? Back when we were still in love, we’d, gone there, almost, every other weekend, and then, things got, settled down, and, life got in the way, we’d, lost that sense of, “us”, somewhere along the way, and, that café still, blinked on and off, in the distance.
The café by the shore, it’d, watched the rise and falls of the tides that comes in and out, every single day, and it’d become, like this, settled down old person, unaffected, by what’s going on around it, and, everything that came in and out was taken as, “natural” to it…
and now…
The café by the shore, we’d not hung out there anymore, not since that thing happened, we’d, stopped, connecting to one another, and, the tides, they traveled, elsewhere, instead of, circling, centering themselves, around the café. The café was, once, long, long ago, the center of everything that was, going on, and now, there’s, that new spot in the seaside town, and the café by the shores, lost, its, glow, kinda like how our love had too.
