The distant-education means, out of, necessities, and, we’re, making, CLONES, mini-test machines, that can only, bubble in A, B, C, D, or E, with NO independent thinking abilities, and that’s, just, awful! On education, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
As the pandemic spread, other than the problems of our health and livelihoods, the problems of education also turned, pressing.
To prevent the spread, the schools across the country all halted, and, what took place were the online distant education classes; the teachers work hard teaching online, the students log on at home to listen to the lessons every day; for a time, online courses seemed to have become the magical cure for learning during the outbreaks, and even, education became, almost synonymous with distant-education.
A lot claimed, that so long as distance-education means can keep going, the in-school, in-class lectures can be, done away with.
Because education, based off of their beliefs, is the transmissions of knowledge, and, if that were the case, then, the online courses would do, no need to go to the schools to face the real-life fellow students, or the real-life professors.
Louis Kahn, the master architect once stated, “Schooling began, under a tree, with an individual, sharing her/his knowledge about the world with a few, they’d never thought of themselves as students or instructors.”
A lot had come to believe, that distance-education means can take place of the physical lecture lessons, that’s because they don’t know the real meaning of education. Distance education may work to pass along the knowledge base, but it does Not replace the interactions on campus, of the students, and professors, and these included, establishing a set attitude of life, formation of the beliefs about what’s beautiful, the trust and shared care and concerns of professors and students, to the point of students teaching one another things, none of this can be replaced by distance-education means.
In the series of Star War movies, the troops of the Empire of clones, are made by mass-production, in the shortest time, quickly breeding out, implanting the knowledge the troop needed, and so they’d lacked the independent thinking skills, nor carried any individualities; but, the resistant’s, Jedis, used the original apprenticeship of training methods, the master took along the apprentices, not only teaching them the skills, and also, the philosophy of life, along with knowing themselves, facing one’s own darkness within.
Jesus Christ also gave the sermons to the masses, but, he’d spent more time with his twelve apostles, living with them, teaching them at all times, not only using the words, but his own, actions as well, which showed, that education takes time, and it’s, costly, and surely, very, expensive.
The makings of clones, that’s, the cheapest, and efficient too; comparing, the makings of a Jedi, that’s expensive, and, least, economic. In needing the efficiencies, the achievement orientations, it’s easy, to go towards the clone methods, because it’s cheaper, and more, efficient; while online education means, is making this methods of learning to an extreme, there are a limitless number of students per class, up to tens of thousands in the lecture hall, no problem at all.
But, under this method of teaching, we may only end up with a lot of students who are agile in test-taking, but NOT known how to act morally responsible; they may have the knowledge base, and yet, know NOTHING of life, of how to interact with their own, external environments. This sort of a system of education is short-sighted, for the time being, it seems, efficient, and it’s cheaper to train the instructors; but for the long run, it’d, killed off, an entire generation of students and learners, and, all of the side effects, along with the costs to society, will start to show one by one, until finally, we wake and come to understand, so, education was, never cheap to start with. That the higher quality of education is time consuming, and very, costly, education is never in a day’s work!
I hope, that the means of online education is only during the outbreaks, out of, necessity, that it wouldn’t, replace the actual lecture sessions in the campuses; otherwise, nobody would need to go abroad to study in foreign institutions, and we don’t need to, show care and concern toward EVERY single student who came to us individually! As the duties of instructors of “passing the knowledge, teaching the skills, helping the students find the answers” get reduced down to “passing of knowledge, then, the system of education is on the collapse.
And so, this showed, how face-to-face interactions of students and teachers are, absolutely, necessary, that the online courses at this time, is only, for the sake of emergency, but, the distance-education means are, slowly, taking over, and, by this method, we’re, making clones, who are good at following the rules on that production line, without ANY independent thinking abilities, and that’s, not good, at all!
