Education is a work of hundred years, not just on the acquisition of professional knowledge base, more importantly, focusing on interactions with the group, with ones’ own, peers, learning, making the wonderful memories.  The instructor from the Da-Feng Elementary of Hsintien, Lin encouraged her students to attend the performances, helped them get their skills, and incorporated the arts into the various areas of education, earned a teacher of the year award.

Lin who has specialty in music composition told, that she’d not limited the students, and gave them the means, the opportunities, for them to try on things, and the kids’ creativities always, exceed our expectations.  Education is a process of support and companionship, a lot of the children who entered into the world of music started from ground zero, and, being able to perform on stage, there would be the trials, the hardships that they go through.

Lin stresse3d, that practicing music is a very vital part, so long as you have the heart, you ill, eventually, find a way that suits you.  From getting the students into the realms of the music, the students slowly understood what the music is about, then, stress on the music theory portion, constant positive reinforcement in learning, with the parents support, and after awhile, the students, when they face a problem in learning, they can find their ways of overcoming these obstacles, and this helps establish a good parent-child relation.

She believed, that learning to play an instrument can help the kids with their own self-discipline, focus, and coordination, to help them release their feelings, and tap into the limitless creativities that they can have.  And as a school teacher, she’d continued on in the seminars, the professional conversations, the sharing of experiences with others, to add to her own knowledge.

Lin used her passions and persistence in music, each and every year, she’d set up the performances and activities for her students in and out of country, leading her students into the distant-regions, international realms, she’d also used the leaves she has, the summers the winter breaks for twenty years, without pay, digitizing the sheet music programs, set up the databases, to preserve the precious sheet music.

She also works to direct an orchestra, used her time after school, the weekends, holidays, the summer and winter breaks too, to manage everything the group needed to get managed in, so the students can have more experiences in performing, adding on to their experiences in life, getting immersed in the various cultures, so the world can hear the music of Taiwan.

And, this is the dedication, and the love of teaching music that this music instructor has, and, she’d, inspired the students to reach their fullest potentials in music, by showing them how the love of music can, change the world for them.
