Using the AirDrop Functions of an iPhone, the Police Reviewed Over the Surveillance, and Caught the Suspect

A woman awhile ago, alighted the MRT at Taipei, her iPhone received an AirDrop file, she’d opened it, and it was the photo of a man’s genitalia, she suspected that it was from the man who was sitting opposite of her on the trains, she’d reported it to the MRT police; the police reviewed over the surveillance, and found the man, Chen, although Chen denied the allegations, but the photos on his phone showed otherwise, he was charged with sexual harassment.

AirDrop is an app specifically developed for Apple products, the laptop or cell phone, with the Bluetooth function turned on, it can receive and send the data via wifi connection.  The MRT police told, that recently, there’d been someone who kept sending out the files with the subject, “the basic knowledge of protection against MERS” to send the sexually illicit photos, and this is also called, “digital wireless sexual harassment via images or words”.

Because there are so many cases like this already, the police called out to the members of the public, that they can set their AirDrop function to “only contacts allowed”, to reject the files from Bluetooth technologies, to prevent this sort of harassment from occurring.

There’d been an influx of cases of sexual harassments voyeurism cases on the MRT of late, there’d been a total of sixty reported cases from January to September, including using the AirDrop function to send the sexually illicit photographs.

The victim was riding the MRT on July sixth of this year, as she was using her cell phone, she’d received an AirDrop file, and as she’d opened the file, she’d found it was a photo of a male’s genitalia; back then, Chen was sitting opposite of her, sliding on his cell phone too, and she’d suspected that it was him who was, sexually harassing her.

As Chen was found by the woman, he’d, immediately gotten off at the station, the police reviewed over the cameras and caught him; at first, Chen denied the allegations, until the police found the exact same photograph the woman showed them, that was when he’d, fallen, silent.

And this still just showed, how EASY someone can be, sexually harassed in this high-tech era, and, there will always be those, who are out, hunting for their, next victims, and just because you got your “stuff” (you KNOW what I’m talkin’ about!), that still don’t mean that everybody is interested in, looking at it, and, what you got, I got too, and I got, MORE than you, so, BACK off already, or E-L-S-E!
