The government’s made a whole lot of noises about its policy in long-term care provisions, but, this was one of the primary reasons of how it’d, taken the women away from the workforces; in recent years, there were the tragedies of long-term care every now and then. The already set up system of long-term care couldn’t catch the needs of the families who are in need of the service provisions, clearly, it’s due to the “not knowing” of the policies’ provisions.
It’s been five years since the implementations of Long-Term Care 2.0, at first, the problem lies in that not all citizens here know of this service; and even if they knew, they didn’t know how to use it, on the monetary assistance of the four areas of long-term care was enough, to fog up the people’s minds. And, the properties of long-term care also challenges the traditional belief systems, a lot of the elders are against outsiders, strangers entering into their homes, and for the children, they may be kidnapped by the beliefs of filial piety, causing that there’s a need in the families, but they don’t want to utilize the service, or not dared to apply for the assistance provision.

The qualifications are also a huge thing, there are those in need of this service, but they fall right on the edges of the qualifications, and couldn’t utilize it.
Currently, the long-term care preset was that the families are all staying at home in the evenings, that if they’re at home, then, they can look after their parents or those who are in need of care, which caused the long-term care provisions to center around the daytimes, which made the people feel that it’s not convenient to use, that it’d not provided enough, help, this would be, the biggest obstacle of the long-term care provisions. Currently, there’s the mobile services, with the professional staff visiting the homes for only two, three hours a day at most, but this only applies to the families with mild, to moderate levels of loss of abilities, toward those who are in need of around-the-clock care of the families of severe or moderate needs, maybe, the families are in need of help turning the individuals over once every couple of hours, and in the nighttime, the services aren’t provided for, the families are still, tried hard.
For many laborers in the workforces, having the services of long-term care surely is nice, but the services provided are, broken off, like most of the daycare centers end their operations at around five, or six in the evenings, but the working class may have to work until seven, or eight, the laborers couldn’t get to the elders to pick them up to go home, this is why a lot of the families would rather hire the around-the-clocks foreign nurses, because the nurses lacked the flexibilities of schedules, and are motivated to care because they’re being paid.
And although, the local communities are urging the government to set up the days off for the long-term care like women in their maternity leaves, that the leaves allows the workers to stay on the workforce, but it is only, a subsidiary of the service provisions, the Department of Social Welfare, which is in charge of all of this, need to provide the families with a usable, an easy to use, and enough care provision system.
And so, this had been started, some ten odd years ago, and yet, it’s still in the trial-by-error period of operations, without enough help provided for the families who are in need, and this is bad, the government doesn’t do enough, to help relieve the burdens of caretaking of the families with the elderly family members who’d lost their ability to care for themselves, to live on their, own here.
