A man, Yeh in Taichung called for help last night, claiming that he felt ill, as the firefighters rushed over, they’d found his four-year-old son dead in bed; Yeh told them, that he’d committed suicide with his own young three days ago, and fell unconscious for one day, and woke up the next, found his own son dead, he’d bought more pesticides yesterdays, but after he drank it down, the pain was too intense he had to call for help. The police found blood in the young boy’s mouth and nose, with the external injuries, suspected that the young boy had been, murdered.
The fire department of Taichung received a call at around six in the evening last night, there’s someone who’s in need of medical assistance in a building in Beitun District, the paramedics sent out the ambulances separately, and found a four-year-old boy in the residence, apparently, already, dead, the forty-one year-old male, Yeh was conscious, there was a bottle of pesticide in the living room, with about fifty milliliters missing from the bottle, Yeh told the firefighters that he’d drunk the pesticides, was rushed to the Chinese Pharmacology University’s Hospital to be resuscitated, and was diagnosed with mild burns in his esophagus.
The police came next, found the two were father and son, Yeh was separated from his wife, he’d claimed that he’d attempted to commit suicide with his own young son on the 25th, and he’d waken up the following morn, but his four-year-old son already died. He’d attempted suicide again yesterday, but couldn’t withstand the pain, and so he’d called the fire department for help.
The police and fire department couldn’t find the urn that Yeh claimed to have used to burn the charcoal in in his residence, besides, he’d not notified the police, and accompanied his son’s corpse for a day, there were the injuries from unknown sources covering the child’s body, he seemed to have been abused before he’d died, and the case wasn’t, clear-cut, the police aren’t ruling out Yeh may have murdered his own young son, and he’d broken the laws on child protection, they’d reported to the D.A.’s office for further investigations on the cause of death of the young boy.
And so, this looks like a murder-suicide, the man might have killed his own young, and then, attempted suicide, for whatever reasons, and there were signs of abuse on the child’s body, with external injuries on the child too, so, it may not be like the man testified.
