A certain seventeen-year-old young mother who works in the shady work industries, with her five-months old young daughter, moved in with her boyfriend who lives in Beitou, the infant girl was left in the care of the boyfriend’s mother.  As the Hsinbei Domestic Violence Prevention Center was notified, they’d gone to check on the young child, although the child was healthy, no signs of abuse, but, there were dogs in the home, she lives in the unsanitary environment of feces of dogs, as the social workers communicated with the young mother, they’d, placed the young infant.

The Hsinbei Domestic Violence Prevention Center, after being notified, they’d transferred the case to the social worker of the Hsin-Tai Social Welfare Center, Huang to visit, the young mother and her boyfriend’s family live in a tiny old apartment, with multiple dogs in the property, and the rancid smell of feces, but thankfully, the young infant, under the boyfriend’s mother’s care, was chubby from the formulas.

The welfare center’s manager, Liu said after assessments, the young mother didn’t have enough to care for the infant, and is living in an unsanitary environment, and the baby wasn’t her current boyfriend’s, that maybe, later, there will be the issues on caretaking, that’s why they decided to place the infant girl out.

The social worker, Huang stated, that after communicating her beliefs to the young mother, the boyfriend’s mother, and, they’d decided to place the baby with the “protection for young children case”, then, through the Love-at-Home Program of Hsinbei City, the child is placed in foster care.

The counselor of the Love-at-Home Program, Rou stated, that the foster family is a family that signed on for the foster program just this year, the couple didn’t have children, and longed to care for one, which motivates them to care better for the infant, and, as the infant girl was placed, she’d grown to 7.5 kilograms in weight, with the chubby little legs, and can already, flip herself over, and the foster mom can’t let her go.

And so, this, is the problems that teenage pregnancies can create, but in this case, thankfully, this young baby girl found a family that will, love her, provide her with a ton of care, and a safe and healthy environment to grow up in.
