The government still got its HEAD up its A-S-S here, on this plan to turn the country into dual-language, to get us to connect with the rest of the god DAMN world here! Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
It surely was, a WISE call that the government called out that the country will be bilingual by 2030.
The government had budgeted a very high amount, from here to 2024, spent ten billion dollars N.T. on the dual-language education system of the country, hiring the foreign-born instructors to teach the English courses in the public school systems, but, there are only, three, to four hours’ worth of classroom sessions per week, there’s no effects to be seen. Whether it be that the country’s own instructors can be trained as English speaking instructors, it’s all limited in the classroom setting, and it won’t be, enough. “The English-speaking classrooms”, it’s, just, a façade, a far-fetched fantasy, can’t make the classroom into environment fitted for the dual-language instructions, so, the environmental learning experiences should be altered with the following points in mind:
First, use the entertainments, to help children incorporate speaking English into their daily lives, for instance, the government’s conferences to the public about the outbreak, the physicians from the CDC can use English, and, there should be captions both in English AND Chinese on T.V., which will help the members of the public understand the English terms being spoken, with the Chinese captions to better understanding. I believe, that listening skills are the most important, hearing the terms in English, with the Chinese captions on, it can, help the people increase their listening abilities and the vocabulary acquisitions.
Secondly, the T.V. programs, such as the cartoons now all use Chinese, the government can switch the programming to English pronunciations, with the English AND the Chinese captions, helping the younger children learn more easily. The most effective way for children to learn English is by using the T.V. programs they enjoy watching, and this can used by both adults AND children.
Third, in life, making English a part of daily occurrences, the ads on the streets, the billboards, the government postings, the articles on newspapers and magazines too, with both English AND Chinese, to turn English education into a part of daily life.
Fourth, the extra classrooms from the reduced birthrates can be used for the communities’ English classrooms, that way, the spare rooms are put to good use, and it’d, train the people in the community to hone up on their English skills.
The government, budgeting all that money to push forth English education in the classroom settings, that won’t be enough, most importantly, to allow English to become a part of our, daily lives, that way, there’s the efficiencies, the progresses in learning.
And here’s why, this would be, way too, IDEAL: first, there’s NO environment for English learning, I mean, this is NOT an English speaking country, secondly, if a kid can’t even master the mother tongue, how the @#$% do you expect this kid who doesn’t even know the basic rules of Chinese to master a foreign language, and third, this is the idealistic version of what the government want to do, to bring this country into the global community, without realizing, that HEY, this IS a Chinese speaking country, and English IS a foreign language, and, the primary language should BE the focus in teaching and learning, but heck, the government still got its HEAD up in the clouds, blurting out, all these, idealistic plans, without realizing hey, you IDIOTS are the ones yapping, while all of us, underneath (the entry level school staffmembers, the instructors, etc., etc., etc.) are the ones, wrecking THEIR brains, trying to find a way to do this, like how the last education reform, screwed everybody up totally, because the country wants to, become more “westernized”, but this is NOT the W-E-S-T, it’s the E-A-S-T you MORONS!
And besides, because one method works somewhere ELSE, that still does NOT mean, that it will work here too. So, this, plan, would be………a total, B-U-S-T.
