He’d Hung Himself & Committed Suicide, She Had Her Head Blown Off, the Elderly Couple Found Dead Inside Their Home

The tragic deaths in Kaohsiung!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Husband Suspected of Beating His Wife to Death, and Committed Suicide Afterwards, No Last Note, Not Fight, the District Attorneys Want the Autopsies

The elderly couple in their seventies, the Chuangs two nights ago, were found, dead in their home, the elderly woman was found on the first floor down, with head wound, blood spatter, the man, Chuang was found, hung himself by suicide on the top floor; the police found a hammer with blood in the home, and suspected it to have been used to murder, and they’re not ruling out the elderly murdering his own wife then committing suicide, but the motives were unclear, the D.A.’s office assigned the autopsies, to take the samples to check.

The police investigations found, the seventy-five year-old elderly man, Chuang was a bone setter, his seventy-four year-old wife, Lin sold the clothes at a stand in the markets, their thirty-six year-old eldest live in Tainan, their thirty-two year-old younger son moved to Hsinchu.

The two sons maintained contact with the parents regularly, but for two days, the parents didn’t pick up the phones, two days ago, the sons asked the relatives who live nearby to check on them, the lights were turned on, with the air-conditioning running, but the relatives knocked, and nobody answered, the brothers felt something was really wrong, rushed back home.

Based off of understanding, more than a decade ago, because of the elderly couple fighting, the elderly man, Chuang moved out to Taichung to rent a stay, he’d injured his back in April, May of this year, then, moved back home with his own wife.  The neighbors told, that Chuang had gone out for early morning exercises for these past few months, and sometimes, his wife would too, that they couldn’t detect anything wrong with their interactions, the last time they’d seen Chuang was the morning, three days ago.

The police checked the windows and doors, found no signs of forced entry, on the kitchen counter on the first floor, there was a hammer with the blood on it wiped down, and on Chuang’s clothes, there were the blood spatters; the police suspected that he’d killed his wife with the hammer, then, committed suicide.

But there was no note found in the home, and the neighbors didn’t hear any arguing, no records of domestic violence either, the two sons had no objections of the causes of death for their parents, but the district attorneys had doubts, and ordered an autopsy.

And so, this may well be a crime of passion, in the heat of the moment, the elderly smashed his own wife’s head, then, hung himself to commit suicide, but there’s no note left, and so, it’s still, uncertain, what’s caused, this, tragedy.
