How life, and our days, still, pass, like they normally would, despite how the outbreaks of MERS-CoV are, taking over…translated…

The day before the outbreaks hit us, the power outages took turns happening across all the districts in Taiwan, I sat for a very long time in a park with friends, the man and the shop owner at supper time told of, how the traffic lights were malfunctioning outside, there are, a bit more traffic accidents than usual.  I’d bent over in the libraries, and peeped like a peeping tom, and the guest lecturing professor didn’t get up north for the lectures, perhaps it’s because of how the outbreaks are getting more and more serious, the school announced out of the blue, that the distance-education means are to be implemented from next Monday to June 8th, the extra time I found myself with Friday became, dizzy and spread outward, the yellow glows of the game of soccer in my white t-shirt, dispersed throughout the entire city of, Taipei.

Rushing back home, like dodging something awful, spread my suitcase in the room, it’s too grueling, to pack and unpack for three weeks that follows, the month that followed, the summer vacations, the flows of time; the epidemic is nowhere near slowly; the continued distance-education, I had to, fold up all of my packed clothes, back inside my wardrobe, canceling my ticket back to Taipei, the days of staying put at home, caught between the heat and my fingers, washed my rice daily, the water turned from translucent to clear, the evening sunset reflected against the tiles in my kitchen, giving off that glow, my body started, settling down quietly at home, the scents in the space, unevenly, dispersed, sometimes it’s, moist, sometimes, dry, the clear nights, I could, count up dozens of stars high up in the skies.

The sun on the roofs at noon, mixed me up, the turning of the washing machine, I hiked up the stairs about an hour later, the reflection of the sunlight off the steel cloth hanging rods, I’d, wrapped that amber color, into the shadows, dipped in sweet syrup, embraced it in my arms, the light was, blocked out by the clouds, and, sometimes it darkened, sometimes, there’s, that glow of the lights, I’d, wrung out the clothes a bit, the clothes are now, ready to get hung up, with the thunder showers of the afternoon, slowly, approaching.

And so, despite how messed up the world gets, the world still, remained, the same, we still, kept at our, normal routines, followed that list of things to do, things we need to get done, before the end of the day come………
