The Moderna vaccines that our country purchased had, “finally arrived in shipment here” in 100,000 doses. Compared to how as the vaccines we’d purchased finally shipped to us, the government, offering that, grand welcome, this time, the government stayed, lowkey. On the one hand, this shipment, was nowhere the amount of what we are in need of, secondly, this shipment of self-bought Moderna wasn’t nearly a quarter of what the country purchased. This serious mistake, being too overly embellishing it, it will, only, show how our government fell, too short.
Moderna, is second to AZ vaccines in number of what we’d bought, externally, totally up to 5,050,000 doses. As the order was placed at the start of this year, Chen told, that we “will receive the shipments by May, June,”, and now it’s, August already, and, only 1.25 million doses arrived. Compared to the donated amount of 2.5 million doses by the U.S. government, the rate of delivery is, less than, acceptable.
The delay in Moderna shipments, is primarily caused by the lacking in production. The mRNA vaccines of BioNTech produced about 3,000,000,000 doses, and Moderna isn’t even, nearly, a third of that. Even though, we set the goals of 300,000,000,000 doses of Moderna vaccines this year, but we may fall short of that number. What’s odd was, the government of Tsai announced that it’d already, sent in the purchase orders of 36 million doses of Moderna, seemed that she’d, put all her bets on the Moderna vaccines here.
Isn’t the government afraid, that the same things would happen repeatedly, being able to purchase, but not having the shipments arriving on time? Or maybe, this was the only reason why the government sent its purchase orders on only Moderna vaccines, counting on its, delayed shipments, so the Medigenvac vaccines the government vouched for can enter the ring of the vaccines for competitions, so the government would have the just cause, to up its buying powers of it? Other than the ideologies, why does the government insist on, not buying enough, of the BioNTech vaccines then?
The Tsai government’s policy on the vaccines, had been awkward all the way here, putting politics first, the party’s interests first, people’s live, the outbreaks, to the, sides. We were able to, “survive” off of the donated vaccines, and next year, we may all be forced, to receive the Medigenvac vaccines then.
And so, this, is why this government didn’t buy enough vaccines in the first place, so it can, sell us all, buying ALL the country’s own vaccines, that’s not even proven to be, effective enough yet, and this is the government, putting ITS own agenda, way, way, WAY before, the people’s, best interests, and we’re all still, letting this, DDP government, ruin us, because the president’s term isn’t up yet, but by the time the next election rolled around, people would’ve, already, forgotten, how hard we were all, @#$%ED up during this year of outbreak, with not enough vaccines to go around to all of us who need them.
