The Private First Class Was Abused that He Leapt Out of a Building to Commit Suicide, the D.O.D. Returned Justice Back to His Families

The father of this private first class had fought on, for ELEVEN years total, and now, finally, some, justice is, served!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

After Being Told He’d Lost the Case, the Amendments Set in Place, the Father Came Back Stronger Each and Every Time, Fighting to Get Justice for His Son, and Finally, the Government Hand Down the Repatriation Death Claims of “Died in Line of Duty”

The private first class Su in 2010, was tortured by the lieutenant platoon leader, Kuo, forced to dress up in full gear, with the nearly thirty-three pounds total of eleven wooden training rifles for the entire morning, in the end, he couldn’t withstand the tortures, took his own life by leaping off the building due to posttraumatic stress; the Department of Defense originally, ruled his death as illness, but after Su’s father fought for a whole of eleven years, and, the D.O.D. opened up the reevaluation, which was very rare, and determined the cause of death as “in the line of duty”, and allowed for the payments for Su’s death to his families.

The legislator, Lai from People’s Party who’d helped with fighting for justice for the private first class, stated, that she knew that persistence is a requirement, as she’d, worked in the department, that the reason for the government’s tossing back the claims were set in stone, that they can only, communicate more; saving the Su case was finding the D.O.D. to renegotiate the terms, step by step, and she was very moved, of how the D.O.D. had in the end, decided, to reevaluate, Su’s case.

“It’d been eleven years since!”, Su’s father, still felt sad as he recalled his son, that he’d often recalled how his son would call out to him, “dad, time for lunch!” as the meals were served; as he was told of his son’s death, he, was shocked beyond words of speech, he’s now, more than grateful for the grand justice for getting justice for his son, and is more than grateful for the legislator, Lai, for “helping us see the end of this”.

At eight in the morning on April 27th, 2010, the officer on duty at the units of the Marines, the platoon leader, Kuo was assigning the cleaning duties ot his men, he saw how the men were, too relaxed, and, started running them for ten seconds to before him, he saw that the private first class, Su looked, displeased, and as he’d called roll, Su didn’t reply back, he’d ordered Su out of the line, Su didn’t give him the proper salutes, he’d demanded that Su redo the drills out of the line of soldiers, four, five times, scolded him, “you will do these drills, until you salute”.

Later, Kuo ordered Su dress up in full-gear, carrying the weight of eleven wooden rifles, weighing in at 14.19 kilograms to do his tasks, told him, “if you drop one rifle, you’ll be in deep trouble”, and stated, “I will, torture you, you won’t have it that easy”, and ordered Su carry the total of 3.87 kilograms’ 65 rifles to do his drills.

As Su started crying when he cleaned, he’d fisted the walls and injured himself, a sergeant told Kuo, “stop it, or something will happen!”, but Kuo insisted on punishing Su, on that very afternoon, Su left his note, and leapt from the fourth floor of the camp, killed himself.

After Kuo was sentenced to seven years two months by court marshal on charges of “superior abusing subordinate to death”, Su fought for an appeal, in the executive courts, demanded that the D.O.D. hand out the repatriation funds using “death by duty”, and because “the evidence discovered after the noncriminal charges were filed” were found, he’d lost his appeal.

As Su’s father fought for an amendment, the courts ignored him, back then, the grand justices, including Huang, and three others offered the differences of opinions, Huang believed, that the precedence of the case of Hong can be referred, that it was, something that shouldn’t have, happened, but, not deserving of the grand justices’ attention at all.

Kuo started serving his prison terms in August of 2013, and was released on parole a little over three years later in 2016.

And so, this, is how high up these court officials are, they are the ones with the final say, of whose death is just and whose isn’t, and, their interpretations of the law, ranked supreme, but hey, it’s still, NOT just, because a soldier was, tortured to committing suicide, and, the officer who’d tortured him only served a limited number of years, and now, he’s on parole.  So, that, is how much, a human life’s worth now these days, diddily, SQUAT!!!
