The teacher who’d found, an innovative methods to teach her class, the more important values that they will be taking with them, for the rest of their lives, after they get out of school, because she too, was, educated, in the, cramming methods, she’d, refused, to teach her own students the same, because she was, impacted by the way she’d been, taught, finding new ways, to teach the values of life to her class, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
“Turning the world into a classroom, bravely go after your dreams!”, the Scouts teacher from Hsin-Ke Middle School in Hsinchu, Hsieh couldn’t cope with the cramming methods during her own schooling years, as she became a school teacher, she’d found, that there are no courses teaching the students “how to be brave”, she’d introduced the American methods of instruction to her school, pushed forth a series of innovative COOL outdoors courses, moved the learning outdoors, to combine the theories with the applications, making the knowledge on the books come to life, and, pushed forth the leadership skills training in her classroom, helped the children, become their, original, selves.
Hsieh who is thirty years old currently, had been teaching since five years ago, she’d dreamed of being a teacher since she was a child, but, bumped into the trials in her own education, forced into cramming in the lessons she was supposed to learn, it’d almost made her forget, “dreaming and making these dreams into reality”. By her final year of high school, she was, succumb by her academic pressures, and, her mind started, hating school, and getting lost, she’d started, skipping her school sessions.
Hsieh said, in high school, she’d often, stared at her own textbooks, and wondered, why am I learning all of these, Chinese, English, history, math, how do these, come in handy in my life? No teacher was able to answer that for her, there’s no classmates she could ask, and, being suppressed in the learning processes, being pressured, to comply with the rules of the systems, it’d, made her, long, to be, free.
As Hsieh started teaching the Scouts courses in Hsin-Ke Middle School, she’d discussed with the school principal, Lin and the head of student affairs, and decided to introduce a series of COOL outdoors courses, teaching the students “how to be brave”.
the instructor, demonstration to her class, how it’s, done

The core values of adventure and explorations in education is set up, she’d helped the students cultivated the beliefs of challenging themselves, being responsible to oneself, as well as the team; moved the learning outdoors, and, combined the materials in the textbooks, with the technical skills outdoors, made the books come to life, making experiences into, the best teachers; the process, the students kept breaking through, helped themselves, face up to the challenges they come into contact with; she’d also allowed all her students, to have the opportunities to play the roles of leaders of the groups, to help them learn from one another.
Hsieh said, the contents of the class included, descending, rock climbing, tree climbing, hiking up the mountain trails, canoeing, the course broke the traditional classroom boundaries, helped the children be brave to dream. There are the groupthink, and there are the returns from the student’s individual counseling as well, it’d helped the students become self-motivated in their own learning, and, get to know oneself again, from the perspectives of, others too.
Hsieh pointed out, that in one of the classes where there’s the descent downward on the ropes, a boy was timid, with the voice volume of an ant, but, to pass that first barrier, he’d, kept, lifting his leg upward, persisted doing so for ten minutes, she’d thought that the student would ultimately give up, but in the end, he’d, succeeded in the descend of four stories. “Fact proved, that seeing the kids’ best qualities, with the reinforcements, changes, CAN, happen!”
Because this teacher was taught, using the CRAMMING methods, and it’d, impacted her schooling careers, now that she’d become, a school instructor, she’d, broken FREE out of the original framework of her learning, and, found an innovative way, to teach her students, the more important lessons that they will take with them, for the rest of their lives, which is, off the books.
