After that very first light was lit up, the rest followed, how one tiny act of kindness can, spark up a sort of a “movement” in the neighborhood, translated…
It was seven in the evening that night, then suddenly, without any warnings beforehand, power out. In a flustered panic, I’d placed that charging lamp in the living room, and quickly rushed through my supper.
And because I live close to the MRT station next to the mountains, as the sun set, there was, no light, and even, the drippings of the rain, plus the shadows from the trees, it’d always, felt, creepy. Considering how it’s at the time when people are getting off work, a lot of people exiting out of the MRT station, walking this way that’s, paved with, utter darkness, to help these passersby see the way, I’d, hung two LED lights that were battery operated.
Or maybe, it’s my actions that were discovered by my fellow neighbors, they’d also, started, putting their LED lights outside too. And, although there’s no unified form of the lights, and the light isn’t complete the same level of brightness either, but we’d all, shared that one common goal: to help those who are coming home find their ways, to give them that sense of, safety.
Can’t believe, that my simple act, had caused the neighbors to all come onboard, to add to the light on this night of, the power outage.
And so, this is still, how one tiny act of kindness, of thought, can spread out, bringing the world to light, like this this woman’s neighborhood’s case, she’s the one who’d, started wanting to, light the way, for those who are arriving home late, and, as soon as her first light turned on, the rest of the neighbors, followed suit.
