How this murderer thought he’d, escaped the death penalty, without realizing, that there’s, a fate, FAR, FAR, F-A-R worse, than getting put to death: getting tortured by his own guilty conscience, for as long as he shall, live!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

Lai who was diagnosed with schizophrenia three years ago, went to the dental clinic to find his younger sister who was a dental assistant and was blocked out, he’d stabbed the dentist, Wang to death, murdered and injured the two other nurses; the first retrial of the Taichung High Subsidiary Court found that he wasn’t mentally decapacitated when he’d committed the crimes, but as he’d murdered the dentist, he’d told his nurse, “go help  out your dentist!”, which showed that he still had some humanity left in him, sentenced him to life-in-prison yesterday, and stripped him of his public office position for life.  This can still be appealed.

As the wife of the victim, Zhou heard the verdict, she’d broken down, and the judge told the bailiff to give her a tissue.  Toward how the man who’d murdered her husband not getting the ultimate sentence, she’d cried, “this is another proclamation of the Taiwanese Justice System, that Taiwan is now, a place of the murderers excusing themselves for having mental conditions, a haven for murderers, I’m truly disappointed in the justice system here!”

and now, he will be, forever tortured, by his own, guilty conscience, until he dies!!!

like this, and he will, NEVER break free from this! Illustration from online

She’d told, she’d heard Lai told the judge, “I hear that there’s no death penalty in Taiwan” at the opening of his trial, and each and every time the case was heard, the victim and the families were brutalized again and again, this was, no doubt, the biggest insult by the criminals toward the victims, and, what’s meant by forgiveness, is how the criminals stepping the dignities of the victims and their families on the ground.

The first and second trials took the Caotun Mental Hospital’s evaluations, believed that as Lai murdered the man, he wasn’t in control of his own behaviors, couldn’t tell what he was doing was wrong, and, based off of the laws, his sentence was, reduced; but the turn came in the retrial of the first trial, the justice took the evaluation of the Taichung V.M.H.’s evaluation of how Lai wasn’t affected by his own mental conditions, and based off of that, he didn’t get a reduced sentence.

But the Collectivist Courts believed, that Lai, after murdering the dentist, told the nurse, Huang, “go help your dentist”, and other things, which clearly showed, that he wasn’t, without his humanity, and as he was taken in, he’d written the confessions and the apologies to the families of his victims, and copied the Buddhist verses to give to the man he’d murdered, which showed he still had remorse in him, that he can still be reformed.  On the civil front, Wang’s families, Lo and Weng, the two nurses, were asking Lai for a total of over $25.49 million N.T.s, and this is still pending trial.

And so, because of how this man had signs of mental disorder, he’d gotten away with the death penalty, and he’d shown remorse over what he’d done, and that’s why he got off “easy”, escaped the death penalty, but, he won’t escape the tortures of his own guilty conscience night after night, and his victim will come back and haunt him, gnaw on him, until he dies, which is, a far worse sort of a punishment, than being put to death, he just doesn’t know it yet!
