The recorded number of birth this January here in Taiwan is only 9,601, for the very first time in history, the number dropped to below 10,000, and, there were, only, 120,000 couples getting married last year, and, from this, we can see, that the birthrate is going to, drop down even lower, in this year, as the outbreaks are, getting harder. Comparing to the U.S. and other European nations, Taiwan was hit a lot less harder last year, and, the birthrate of January this year, had dropped a whole of twenty-three-percent compared to last year, and the rates dropped even faster than Europe and the U.S., clearly, this showed, how the people’s lives were, impacted, and, it didn’t matter if our GDP, and the stock market index had risen up ahead of most of the world’s nations, it still doesn’t relieve the stresses, the pressures of living for the younger generations.
Passing through the year of the outbreaks in 2020, all the nations in the world may be expecting a baby boom, and in recent months, the birthrates had, dropped lower than ever before. The American, and European presses discussed this matter in large amounts. France, which had the highest birthrate in all of Europe, this year in January, the birthrate dropped to thirteen-percent, the lowest since World War II. While during the year of the outbreaks in America, the rates of birth was the lowest since 1979. The same trend occurred in China, since the one-child policy had been, slashed, the birthrates reduced by fifteen-percent compared to two years ago, which is why Beijing had set forth its, third births policy recently.

The media presses in North America and Europe called this trend the “baby bust”, as opposed to the “baby boom”, originally, the term “baby bust” was used to describe the cycle of the ups and downs of economics, the lacking of births caused the discussions to spark up. And it’s found, that the reductions of birthrate is related to the outbreaks. As the birthrates dropped to an all-time low in the world right now, the only good thing that acme, is that the pregnant women are kept at home, taking care of their health, keeping their bodies well, reducing the chances of premature births.
Examining the data from around the world, Germany is the only country with a hike in birthrates, compared to how European and American media presses’ analyses, along with the third-child policy of China, maybe, it can give us some insights. The rates of births in decline in the U.S., and the hike in Germany, has to do with the immigration policies, during the Trump presidency, there was, a sharp drop of immigrants from Europe to America, while before the outbreaks, Germany took in over millions of political refugees, the two in the “baby bust” showed contrast measures of handling. As immigrants or refugees arrived to a place, where they can feel safe and secure, to start a family, they’d hoped their children, can get out of their original, predicaments, which is why the people worked really hard, to become, citizens, and, these refugees carried a higher birthrate, causing the restructures of the entire country’s population.
After Beijing announced its “Third-Birth Policy”, the online community started cursing at it. The only children birthed out of the eighties and nineties called themselves 421 families, with parents and grandparents from both sides, six people one person takes care of, and, after the couple marries, the number doubled to twelve, plus another child, life and economics will surely become, burdensome. While in the highly competitive working society, the education costs of children don’t come cheap, if the government can’t provide the securities of economics, the couples would NOT even consider having a second child, let alone, a third. In the six years of allowing for a second birth, the birth rates had dropped sharply, causing the loss of population, which made Beijing to start up its, “third-birth” policy.
Taiwan is already onboard, in encouraging for a third birth, but, the birthrate’s been, lower than China in its, one-child policy era, which clearly showed, that the younger generations will NOT have children, to save our country, the key to this, is the government’s doing, to help secure the society, along with reducing the pressures of living for the younger married couples. Marriage and births are closely related for the Taiwanese, so, there is, a very low rate of unwed mothers, this is, a quality of our culture, and society, and, there are a lot of modern day men and women who choose to love themselves more, and not getting married because the time had, come.

The declines of the willingness for marriage, the lower pays, the pressures of life, the highly competitive workplace, based off of a higher degree, plus how hard it is for the couples to buy a place of their own, it would be, next to impossible, to help the rates of birth, along with the willingness to marry of the younger generations, in changing our futures, the considerations should be on the low incomes, and distributions of wealth, the futures of our younger generation, along with the effective immigration policies, otherwise, the birthrates will only, get lower.
And so, how much do you want to get PAID, for crankin’ ‘em, babies out again? Yeah, what are we, STUPID??? We are, already, having it hard enough, making our own ends me, we can’t possibly care for an average of 1.3 children per household, and with the situations not getting any better (MERS-CoV taking over, blah-blah-blah) are YOU willing, to RISK giving birth to your young, in this, dangerous world? If you’re a good mother, then you definitely wouldn’t, because a GOOD mother, does WHATEVER the HELL that’s needed, to protect her own young, and so, that’s why, I’m not having this already DEAD, MURDERED Emily of mine, and, that’s why, the birthrate is dropping to the lowest of lows right now in this god damn country. I mean, would you feel safe, to have one, in this world that’s, currently, being ruled by, MERS-CoV, with the political situations, the global warming, along with the economy in recessions all around? Yeah, so, you think and if need to, SLEEP on it, why don’t ya!!!
Oh, and this particular “child” of mine still costs??? Oh yeah, TWO CENTS! See, I HAVE a heart here…although I’d, thought about, increasing the “charges” to FOUR shiny pennies, but, nah, not necessary!
