The conversations of young children, forming the concepts of the world, in terms that they can understand, on child-initiated learning process, out of the goings on of everyday life, translated…
Sugar and her younger brother got off school and came to grandma and grandpa’s house, their grandmother squinted, handed them a cup each.
“What’s this?”, the siblings looked into the cup, there were, two round fruits inside.
“Can it be eaten?”, the younger picked up the fruit, with uncertainty. I’d gone to them, with two tiny pots: “Errr, nope, it’s inedible, these are seeds, you need to plant them in the soil.”
Putting the pot down, Sugar quickly, placed the red fruit in. “And press it, into the soil”. I’d taught them both, with her younger brother following.
“Then, add in a little water”, the water is the best toy ever, the two children fought over the spray, asked, “What will it become?”, and “why are we planting them?”
I’d told them, “a tree will become of the seeds, taking care of your own tree, it’s, such an amazing feat.”

“Why?”, grandpa’s wrecking his brains, to answer the questions, “because tree is alive.”
“What’s alive?”
“Something that grows up, progresses, change, it’s all, life”, grandma finally came to the rescue, grandpa was, relieved.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhh, my feet grows bigger too, I can’t run when I was little, but I can run now, is my feet life?” asked Sugar.
Her brother chimed in, “hmmmmmmmmmmm, I can run, and jump, my life is, way better than yours!”
Oh wow, is that so? The two of us, gazed toward each other, and, started, smiling in our own, secrecy.
So, this, is how something so simple can spark up an interesting subject of discussion of the two children, and the adults here, allowed the children to discover the answers that they are seeking, and this is good because, learning works best, when the children are intrigued, interested in how something works, instead of sitting in the classroom settings, with the teacher yapping at the side of the blackboards, with the children dozing off left, and right underneath.
