An elderly woman in her seventies, Tsai lived alone, last week she’d received the scam calls from the fake district attorney and police, mistakenly believed that she was involved in a robbery, packed up all the gold, jewelries in her possession of over $1.7 million N.T.s, waited for the fake D.A. to come and collect.  But the individual took everything away, not left any information behind, the elderly felt that it was odd, ran to the substation to inquire, and she’d learned, that she’d been, scammed, and all of her life’s savings, gone.

The police investigated, that Tsai lives alone, had saved up some jewelries with her life; last week, the “officer” called abruptly to her home, told her that she was involved in a robbery and fraud case they were working on.

The elderly reacted instinctively by feeling shocked, stated to the scammer, that she’d worked hard her whole life, and couldn’t have done anything wrong with someone, the man told her that they’d examined the evidence they have, that it’d shown that she was, involved, that the case is already in the justice systems now, and, half-threatened the elderly woman, to turn over ALL of her valuables.

The elderly told that she didn’t have any cash, that there were only some gold, jewelries she’d saved from when she was younger, the man switched his tone of voice, told her that her gold, her jewelries were, “stolen goods”, that she’d needed to turn them over to the D.A. to get checked, then if it’d checked out fine, then, everything shall get returned back to her, and she will have her name cleared too.

The elderly believed, and the man told her that it was a closed investigation, “don’t mention it to anybody else!”; or all of her “valuables will be confiscated”, and stated that a colleague will “drop by” to collect her valuables.

So the elderly woman, packed up everything of value that she’d owned and saved, two hours later, a woman of around age twenty came, and took her packed up valuables away, including the gold necklace, the gold bracelets, the rings, the gold nuggets, the gold years, weighing in at a total of 30 grams, which is roughly $1.71million N.T.

After the gold was taken from her, the elderly woman felt something wasn’t quite right, and ran to the nearby substation to inquire, and the officer heard her description, and knew it was scam, and they’re currently chasing down the scammers with the surveillances.

The criminal investigations unit stated, that similar scams are, old and over used, but the elderly populations still fall victims easily, that a way to prevent this is install a caller I.D. in the home phones, and that if an unknown number was sighted, then, people should be alerted, to NOT get scammed so easily.

If it wasn’t an elderly woman, but a person in her/his forties, fifties, or even, sixties, then, the jewelries would’ve never been lost, but, it was an elderly who got scammed, and she’d, lost ALL of her life’s savings, because she is unaware of the scam artists’ measures, so she’d fallen, victim.
