Celebrating Mother’s Day at Toshankeng Creek, the Father Saved His Seven-Year-Old Son, “But Another Drowning Person Had, Grabbed His Feet”
The dangerous swim zones of Taichung at Taiping District, the Toshankeng Creek with two drowning deaths yesterday, the twenty-seven-year-old man, Chen was suspected of going into the creek to get cooled off in the hot weather, the young boy, the seven-year-old Chen was celebrating Mother’s Day early with his families at a barbecue by the creek, watched and slipped on the mosses, fallen into the creeks, the two were drowning, and went missing, as the fire department rushed over, and brought the two individuals to the surfaces, they both showed no signs of life, and, they’d died on the way to the hospital.
does this, look like a POOL, with that certified LIFEGUARD???
The young boy’s father stated with distraught, that his son accidentally fell into the waters, he’d gone up to grab him back up, but Chen had, grabbed onto his son’s foot, he’d heard his son called out, “daddy, save me!”, and can only, watch the two sink into the waters. The police already took the evidences, and asked the witnesses what they saw, and they will have the district attorneys check for the causes of death.
The police found, that Lee, his parents his uncle, and three other children, went to a barbecue by the creek under the Northern Field Bridge, Chen and his wife arrived a bit later, and, as they’d greeted the Lee family, the man went swimming; the witnesses told, that Chen didn’t look like he could swim, back then, the boy stood on the rock and watched, and slipped off into the water on the mosses.
The city’s fire department received the call at around noon, as they’d sent the divers out, they’d not see the two, they’d searched underwater, and, at 1:30 and 1:31 in the afternoon, the divers fished the man and the child back up, but both showed no signs of life.
The child’s mother followed to the hospital, and, clasped her hands together outside the E.R., begged “please, save my son!”, but the boy still died, despite the emergency resuscitation measures. Chen had the tracheal tubes and the resuscitation medications administered to him, as well as the ECMO, his heart didn’t start back up gain, at 4:05 in the afternoon, he too, was, declared dead.
The father of the child stated, that the family went to the creek to have a barbecue to celebrate Mother’s Day, that he knew Chen at the construction site they both worked, and bumped into each other by chance yesterday; as his son feel into the creek, he’d attempted to rescue him back up, but Chen had, grabbed onto his son’s ankle.
The creek was listed as the TOP dangerous swim zone of Taichung, including the bridge, the bat cave, the fairy falls, and the areas close to the bridge close to the temple, the surfaces of the creek looked calm, but underwater, the rapids were, raging on.
The fire department told, that the nearby banks of the river looked like a gently flowing stream, but there are, the hidden danger zones that are seven, to eight meters in depth, plus the water is too cold, if the visitors don’t stretch long enough, they will start cramping easily; the city government posted a SIGN next to the creek, banning the locals from swimming, but, there are the members of the public that made their ways down to the creeks to swim, that the city will enforce patrolling the area, to prevent future drowning accidents.
And so, with the weather getting heated up even more, there will surely be, MORE of these, drowning accidents happening all around, and it’s still due to the members of the public’s NOT following the warning signs, and then, someone drowns to death, like this, then, everybody feels sad about the tragic deaths for a day, then, they go out, and swim in these, unprotected, waters again.
