The Drunk-Driver Denied the Allegations, Claimed that He’d Bought the Booze Because of His Nerves, but Someone Testified Seeing Him Drink in the Karaoke Bars, the District Attorney Asked the Courts to Sign for His Arrest
The man, Fang from Taichung in the midnight hours, rammed over the seventy-year-old elderly woman, Chen, dragged her for seventy meters, killing her, the police investigations found, that as Fang hit the woman, he’d not reported the accident immediately, instead, he gone to the super convenience mart, bought the alcohol, started binge drinking, Fang told the police, that he went to buy the alcohol, because he felt nervous, denied getting behind the wheels drunk. The victim was the media person, Han-Wei Huang’s mother, he was distraught, told that he was going to take his mother out for a Mother’s Day meal, but now, that can’t be, fulfilled, that his mother’s wishes were to attend her grandchildren’s weddings, and now, that won’t, ever, happen anymore.
The police investigated, that the thirty-year-old man, Fang, after gathering at the karaoke bar during the midnight hours in Taipei, returned back to his parents’ home to rest up. At around three in the morn, he woke, went on his way to the salon he owned that was under renovations, as he passed the intersection of Dongxing Road and Shu-Yi First Alley, Chen was walking across, and Fang failed to note, and, rammed into her, dragged her for seventy meters.

Fang refused to get interrogated through the night, the police reviewed over his cell phone, his dash cam, and reviewed over the street surveillance cameras, found the owner of the karaoke, the waiter who’d served him at the karaoke, Fang’s friends; and on the other hand, they took in the hair samples, the fingerprints. Fang told the police that he’d only eaten foods at the karaoke, denied having drunk-drive, and denied the ownership of the unknown liquid found inside his car as his, but the companions at the karaoke testified, that Fang was, drinking.
