The Eight-Dollar Restaurant Group’s C.E.O. Huang started owing the employees their wages last year, managed to get the investors to invest $40 million N.T.s into his business, during the time the district attorneys were working the case, he’d made his escape, and the district attorneys offices across the island had the active arrest warrants on him; during his time of evading arrest, he and his wife used the dummy accounts to scam the insurances claims from the insurance companies, gotten the illegal profits of over $400,000N.T.s., which made the criminal investigations units onto them, and they were both, arrested, and sent to booking, Huang’s wife was charged with fraud, and other charges, the district attorneys placed her under house-arrest, the three people whose names were used to invest as head accounts were sent home.
The thirty-eight year-old Huang, is the man responsible for the Eight-Dollar Hotpot Group, he’d originally owned multiple brand restaurants, shops, but, two years ago, the group was found to owe the employees their wages, forging the pape4rs to take in more investment funding from the investors, the Taipei D.A.’s Office charged m on fraud, and breaching of trust, but because the district attorneys failed to indict before the holding period was up, after Huang was released from the holding cells, he’d evaporated off of the surface of the earth with his wife, Hsiao (age 38), the victims told the media presses, and the Taipei D.A.’s Office, because they couldn’t get Huang to show up in court, sent an active arrest warrant on him.
At the end of last year, the Criminal Investigations Unit received a call, that the couple, to get the money for their escape, used the dummy accounts to buy the travel insurances, the pet insurances, a total of more than sixty different insurance slips, totaling up to over three million dollars N.T., and afterwards, Huang forged the national identification cards, the falsified diagnostic reports, to claim the insurances.

As some of the insurance agencies paid to the claims, because Huang used the same “dummy accounts”, the insurance companies also discovered, that the individuals didn’t go abroad to travel as the safety travel insurances got filed, and that they made the claims, roughly around the same time too, that it wasn’t, like the normal insurance claims, they’d, put the payment processes to a halt, reported to the police, but, by this time, Huang and others had already, scammed more than $400,000N.T. in fraudulent insurance claims.
The Criminal Investigations Unit on the 21st arrested Huang, his wife, and three others at Danshui, Hsinbei City, An-Le, Keelung, and other locations, confiscated over three million dollars N.T. in cash, the falsified stamp of the hospitals, and the physicians, the national identification cards, the cell phone, and the bill counting machines, and other evidences.
During the police interrogations, Huang admitted to what he’d done, claimed that he’d needed spending cash, that was why he’d thought about making the fraudulent insurance claims, and he is charged with forgery, and fraud, and Huang is now in police custody, his wife, in house-arrest, the other three individuals who were involved were, sent back to their homes after the interrogations.
And so, this seems like, EASY money, to scam the insurances, and, the insurance agencies were, stupid enough, to pay you off too from before, then, you got found, and got caught, and now, you’re not just looking to, paying back ALL the money you’d scammed, and if the insurance companies wanted to sue you, they could, and you’re also, looking for, the hard times in jail too, and all of this occurred because, you wanted to, get some spending cash, quickly!
