Found dead, inside a car, off of the industrial roads, of carbon monoxide poisoning, suicides of, three, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
Two days ago, there was the case of three young men and a woman dead, inside a rental car, one of the men was a captain of the traffic squad in Taipei; the D.A. autopsied the bodies, and confirmed the cause of death as carbon monoxide poisoning, the families questioned that their loved one didn’t commit suicide, the district attorneys showed the family membered the messages the three exchanged, and the injuries on the bodies, the families accepted that the lives of their loved ones had, come to an end, and, took the bodies back, for the funerals.
The deceased were a woman, the twenty-nine-year-old Lin, the twenty-eight year-old male, Chang, and the twenty-five-year-old male, Huang, of them, Chang was a lieutenant of the accident department of the traffic squad, his work duties included analyzing the accidents, he behaved normally at work, he was transferred to the field shortly last year, then, back to the desks.
The fellow officers stated, that Chang had insomnia while working on the field, that he’d taken a six months’ leave after he’d worked the fields, and at the start of the year, he’d, returned back to the post again.
At around one in the afternoon two days ago, a serviceman who was returning back to base passed by the industrial roads of the horizontal pass, was blocked by an ice bin, with a car parked next to the ice bin, the serviceman went up to ask the driver to move the car out of the way, and found two men, and a woman, limp inside the car, he’d, immediately, called the police.
By the time the police and fire department arrived, Huang in the back, and Lin in the driver’s side were, clearly, dead, Chang who was also on the back was rushed to the hospital, but died there. The police and district attorneys investigated, that the car was rented by Lin, that there was an urn with burned charcoal, and a bottle of alcohol, Lin and Huang both left a note, told of how defeated they were of their own lives, they’d not discovered a note from Chang.
Officer Chang’s hometown was in Changwha, Huang and Lin were from Taichung, there seemed to be blunt force injuries on Chang’s forehead, and waist, Lin was injured on her left leg, the police suspected “artificial suicide” as the causes of deaths. But the district attorney and the coroners examined the injuries which the families believed were what killed them, weren’t fatal, and the coroners believed, that the surface injuries were left on the bodies when the police and fire department tried to conduct the rescues; and the D.A. told the families, that the three had connected through instant messages before they’d died, and that was when the families finally accepted that the three had, committed, suicide together.
As the district attorneys examined the bodies, they’d found it unnecessary to autopsy the bodies, wrote the death certificates up, and returned the bodies back to the families; the families went to the location where the car was found, to call their spirits bac and cried hard, Chang’s loved ones called out, “Didn’t you promise to spend Mother’s Day with us?”, making all who were there, feel their, losses.
And so, for whatever reasons there may be, these three committed suicide together, and, due to the evidence, which showed that it was, a suicide, the families dropped their claims of how it couldn’t be, and, learned to live with the losses of their, next-of-kin, and this, is truly sad.
