Wish, a Poem

In memoriam of those who’d died in the derailing of the trains to Taroko on April 2nd, 2021 at 9:28:47, translated…

I Wish that the Crimson Colored Dreams Don’t Feel Any Pain

The Mingling of the Tides Below the Chingshui Cliffs

The Clouds & Foams Formed a Rainbow

Leading Those Souls in the Darkened Tunnels

I Wish that All the Lost Passengers are Hearing

The Music Played by the Reeds of the Beinan Creeks

Along the Treks Aglow from the Grinding of the Wheels

Find that Final Resting Place in the Embraces of the Dawu Mountain

Wish that All Mothers Stop Mourning

While Those Loving Gazes from the Platforms

Will Soon Embrace the Children with Too Many Words They Needed to Say with Their Gazes

Wish that All of the Tribespeople will Wander No More

The Jostling of the Trains on the Tracks

Carry Nothing But Laughter and Beautiful Dreams Back to

That Hometown Where the Lullabies of the Waves Continued Singing, on

This is in remembrances of those who’d died in the train crash a little while ago, and, those were the children who are headed home on the trains, but never made it back into the arms of their loved ones, because of the using of bad materials of the concretes of the roads.
