The man, Lin called the woman, Lin to a motel for a hookup, he’d strangled Lin’s neck, causing her to fall unconscious, then, carried her into the tub, drowned her, then disposed of her body, and claimed that he was upset over how Lin was cheating on him, that he’d lost control and killed her by accident. The Hsinchu District Court examined the facts for a whole year, and found no such evidences, believed that Lin’s methods to murder was cruel and heartless, “not stopping until he took her life”, sentenced him to life in prison for murder and disposing of her body, strip him of his public office position for life; and the verdict can still be appealed.
The verdict pointed out, the thirty-five year-old Lin called many hookers to have sex. In the midnight hours of February 17th of last year, he’d invited the forty-five-year-old Lin with whom he’d had sex before to a motel in Hsinchu for a stay, he’d strangled Lin’s neck with his hands, used his stature, subdued her in bed, and she fell into a comatose, and as the woman let go, he’d carried her into the tub, and turned on the faucet, until the water was covering her face, causing her to drown by asphyxiation; then Lin placed her body in the trunk of his car, drove to the slopes of the Roman Highway in Taoyuan to dispose of.
Lin said Lin was his girlfriend, that she’d squandered away his saving of two million dollars N.T., and called someone else “honey”, but the judge didn’t believe it, believed that their interactions are purely sexual. The judge believed, that Lin called himself a “suitor” of Lin in the interrogations, and later asked the officers who took his statement to make a note of how they were a couple, that in October of 2017 was when he’d first met Lin, which was a year off from his statements that came later.
And, Lin claimed that whenever he’d come into money he’d called Lin, that he would meet up with her four to six times a month, and paid her anywhere from $20,000N.T. to $50,000N.T., that he’d not always had sexual intercourse with her each and every time, that he’d spent close to two million dollars N.T. on her.
But, based off of the forensic results of the cellphone data, he’d had sexual intercourses with multiple women at various places, and the location were mostly in the city of Taichung, which was not the region where Lin was working, and he’d texted his friend, that a month before the murder, he’d, ended a relationship and was at a low in his life, which didn’t match up to his statements of him being boyfriend to Lin, and how he’d, spent all he had on her.
The judge pointed out, that Lin’s methods of murder showed NO humanity, that he clearly intended to murder the victim, that he didn’t have any emotional ties with the woman, that it couldn’t be used as a justification of murder, that after he’d committed the murder, he’d gone back to work as a driver at the Taoyuan airport, returned back to the hotel to dine, and to check out, and deleted all cell phone records, not driven on the freeways, to evade police, that he was calm, and calculated.
And this murderer WAS, cold-blooded, in his methods of murdering the hooker, but hey, it’s a hooker who died, so, it didn’t matter, or at least, that’s, probably what this perp was thinking, but, this hooker’s life matter, and this loser took her life, and he is, sentenced to life in prison, even though, the DEATH penalty would be, more fitting, but for, whatever reasons, he’d, escaped the death penalty!
