The seventy-one-year-old elderly man, Shih proclaimed himself as a doctoral graduate of Hunan Chinese Medicine University, that he had the medical license from China, claimed that he invented the nonsurgical treatments that worked for correcting polio, the machines to correct the deformities in the feet, and, there were those treated by him who had the ulcers in the surgical spots and reported him to the police; the police and D.A.’s office found, that in the past two years, Shih had treated forty-six patients illegally, scammed a total of $2.28 million N.T.s from them totally, the Taichung District Office found him guilty of breaking the practitioner’s law, sentenced him to three years six months. This can still be appealed.
The verdict pointed out, that Shih the elderly man, didn’t have the certification to practice medicine, he’d set up a treatment clinic in 2018, a prosthesis company, to recruit the patients, he’d posted ads of himself in a white doctor’s robe on the papers, claimed himself as a doctorate of medicine, and on the ad, it had “noninvasive correctional devices”, can correct polio, X-shaped legs, O-shaped legs, that with his treatments, he could, cure any conditions, some of his patients trusted him, and, got scammed from tens of hundred of thousands of dollars N.T.

In 2019, a patient, Chang who, after getting the treatments from Shih, started having inflammation on his open wound, and ulcerations, he’d reported the clinic to Taichung’s Sanitation Department, and on December 4th of the same year, the police and D.A. searched the clinic.
The police and D.A. found a total of forty-six people who were treated by Shih, and paid him a total of between $20,000N.T. to $690,000N.T.s, the investigators estimated, that Shih made an illegal profit of $82.26 million N.T.s in only two years.
During the trial, Shih claimed that he was a certified physician, and made up for the costs of the scammed medical charges, and settled with his patients, the Collectivist Courts believed he’d broken the laws of being a physician, fraudulently scammed his patients, and caused, bodily harms, and sentenced him to three years six months.
Yeah uh, there’s still, NO guarantee, that after this LOSER served his time, and got out, he won’t, start, scamming again, is there? And, that just makes all those who’d been ill a long, long time, easy targets, doesn’t it? And there’s, NOTHING that anybody can, do about it!
