Life, the Obstacle Course

Investing in Education IS Investing in the Future

That’s, the correct belief all right, how this school principal managed to combine the industries with what they students are learning in the classroom setting, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Department of Education did a survey of dropouts, and found there to be over twenty-thousand students, of the reasons, there were the interests not fulfilled by what the students were taught in the schools, family economics, and there were those teens who are out of work, who are not in school.

I’d asked my friend if she’d thumbed across this report, she’d told me she’d skimmed past the title, but didn’t read it in depth; after all, she’s not working in the field of education, so, these things aren’t in her areas of care and concerns.  I don’t know if the government is taking this trend seriously enough?  But I know, that this is, definitely, a hidden worry of the society.

Recalling how before the year, I’d gotten into contact with a child, he said that after his grandmother with whom he’d lived with died, he’d wanted to quit school, but his teacher encouraged him to take the night class, and during the daytime, he’d worked to make a living for himself and learn, and now, he’d graduated successfully, and is planning to go to the military schools next.

There was another child who’d told me, that he’d used his spare time to work to make a living for himself, that in the summer and winter vacations, he is to work two jobs, it’d made him want to give up on his schooling, but, the middle school instructor called him up, and encouraged him, and he’d told me, that this June, after he graduated, he can find a full-time position.

These two students are quite lucky, to have amazing teacher, because only with the encouragements that comes to the students frequently, will give them the strengths to keep going.  If the technical high school level students encountered problems in their lives, and unwilling to find external help, and just not showed up for classes, and the teachers neglected to care, after dropping out, the students can’t find work, and you can imagine, how easy these kids can, go to the wrong side of the law.

From when I worked in the schools, I’d made the school environment comfortable, and filled with love for the students, to guide the children to get to know themselves better, to find what they’re, good at, so they can have the expectations of their own futures, and with plans and goals they want for themselves to achieve in life; so they don’t fluster or panic when they bump into challenges in their futures.

As the start of my education foundation started running, someone asked me why I didn’t just, donate to the scholarship fund programs, or just, set up a youth camp?  Why not make my foundation shine, instead, do the skills training.

We know, that working hard in the realms of education is something that’s, never-ending, continuing, that maybe, what we’re doing today will not be much, but with everybody onboard, toward a common goal, we will, make the field of education colorful and bright, to help the students find their own goals in life, to instill hope for their better futures, so they don’t drop out of school.  At the end of last year, an occupational training instructor said heartfelt: so, we are, in the, field of, education.

Surely!  So long as we have the heart to care and concern, education is not, just, a title!

And so, this, is putting the theories with the application, this program that this educator had helped start, by giving these occupational courses, having these lecturers who are successful in what they do, you’re, actually, getting these students better prepared, to become, the leaders of, tomorrow’s, industries, an amazing, program indeed!
