A man, Yao had an altercation with his wife during the Chinese New Year’s, his wife went back to her mother’s home, and ignored him, in the midnight hours of last, after Yao got drunk, he’d gone to his wife’s parents’ place, hoping, to make nice with her, but she’d, ignored him, and he got angered, used a lighter, set the trash, the items outside the restaurant nearby to his own wife’s home on fire, the fire raged into his wife’s home, thankfully, the police, the fire department arrived on time, and there was no, serious, damages; after Yao hung over, he’d, admitted to setting the fire, and was charged on public endangerment, the district attorney believed that there’s a very high chance of him offending again, asked the courts to keep him in custody, which the courts allowed.
But, as Yao’s wife saw him, wreaked of alcohol, and wasn’t making sense with his words, she’d gotten angrier, slammed the door in his face; Yao saw that he’d, stooped down to beg his wife for forgiveness, and that it wasn’t, effective one bit, he’d felt, upset, and saw that items were stacked outside his wife’s parents’ home, trash piling up, he’d, taken out his lighter, and, lit everything up, and, the fire raged out, got into his wife’s parents’ house, and smoke and fires were coming out.
The police and fire department were called, and, in about a little more than ten minutes, the fire was, put out, back then, Yao realized that he’d committed a crime, stayed on site, and complied with the police’s inquiries; Yao admitted to setting the fire after he had a fight with his wife after he got drunk, and was charged with public endangerment.
The city’s fire department estimated, that there was about ten square meter’s surface area that was burned, that the freezer and other items from the diner were destroyed, the estimate of loss is about ten thousand dollars.
Based off of understanding, the fifty-year-old Yao is a skilled worker, because of his unstable economics, he’d gotten drunk often, to relieve the stress, but he’s a bad drunk, and would often engage in verbal altercation with his wife after he was drunk; during the Chinese New Year’s, Yao got drunk again, his wife couldn’t handle it anymore, ran home to her own parents’, didn’t want to see him wasted.
In the early morning hours of around four, Yao started drinking in his own home again, after he’d, drowned his sorrows with booze away, he’d gone over to his wife’s parents’ house in Beitun, demanded that his wife come back to him.
And so, this, is how booze became, a catalyst, had this LOSER not gotten drunk, then, he may NOT have set the fires, and yet, he’d used alcohol (a DEPRESSANT???) to help him settle down in his own bad mood, and, because alcohol impairs judgment, that was why he’d, set the fire, and now, he will, PAY for his losing control for sure!
