How this instructor, helps the children, to cherish what’s, unique about them individually, teaching them to NOT be like him, to strike out on their own, first, in art, and they will, surely, take this particular value, and put it to work, in the, various areas of their lives in the future too, I’m sure, translated…

In the hallways of a certain elementary school, there were, the artworks of the young students on display, of them, the most eye-catching were, the paintings, like, there were, hundreds, of future artistic talents, hidden, in this, school.

All of these work are, western style, could the school here, not taught the children on the Chinese drawing methods?  The art teacher told, that the children’s art aren’t western, nor eastern styles, they’re, just, “art”, with no differentiation of styles.

So, how many art teachers are in this, particular, school?  Just one.  So, how did this instructor, manage, to teach the wall’s worth of, different styles of art of the students?  The instructor took out the materials for the art, told the students, “to learn from me, but, don’t be, exactly, like me!”, he’d also, encouraged all the students, to not copy after their fellow classmates, to NOT create art like the instructors.  Looking at the sixty-three paintings, there were, sixteen different, variations of how colors are, being used, which showed, how hard the children worked, to be, unique in their, own, mights.

like these, works of art???

they’re all, plants, and they all looked, different, from each other! Photo from online

Writing the essays too, “learn from him, but don’t copy him!”.  But, the colors are easily arranged in different ways, and, being able to come up with different essays, writing on the same subjects, that wouldn’t be, as easy.  It’s just, that the teacher made the requests of, don’t be, “EXACTLY” like someone else, this meant, that “being different” starts from something small, piece by piece, bit, by, bit.

There’s a song that started with, “there’s a river before my home”, do you want to learn this line?  Try it, “the river flowed past from front doors”, “my house is located on the side”, or “opening the door to someone else’s house, they see mountains, and as I’d opened my doors, I saw, my own, dogs”.

And so, this, is the importance of how to teach children to be, unique, because they are, unique, each of them with their different likes and dislikes, and this art instructor did wonderfully, telling the students to NOT be like him, even though, he is, the adult teaching them, and as children, we often, want to, copy what the adults are doing, and this instructor encourages his students, to be unique, and different from him, as well as, each other too.
