The man, Hsieh was accused of cheating with another woman, Jiang by his own wife, Hsieh’s wife filed for divorce and sued for a million dollars N.T.; the first trial believed, that the communication app messages couldn’t prove that sexual intercourse had occurred, mandated that Hsieh pay his wife $100,000N.T.s, but because Hsieh texted his wife “I hope your cancer spreads, and you die painfully!”, the second trial believed that he showed NO signs of remorse, and believed, that the text proved, that he had an affair with the woman, Jiang, mandated that he pay $450,000N.T. to his wife, case closed.
The verdict pointed out, that Hsieh married his wife seventeen years ago, they had two sons together, and five years ago, he’d met the already married woman, Jiang, they had an affair, and had gone multiple times to motels to have sex, two years ago in the month of July, Hsieh’s wife found condom wrappers, as well as a receipt for the motel stay in his coat pocket, she’d texted Jiang to confront her, the two not only admitted to having SEX, confirming the locations and the times that they did it, Jiang had even admitted to how Hsieh took shots of his penis and sent it to her.
Based off of this, Hsieh’s wife filed for the infringement of her right as his spouse, asked for a million dollars N.T. from Hsieh and Jiang, and filed for divorce, at the end of last year, the court allowed for the divorce.
When the case was tried in Taichung District Court last year, the courts believed, that Hsieh’s wife only provided the communication records of her husband and Jiang, that it didn’t prove that they were having sexual intercourse, and ruled that Hsieh had broken the mandates of what’s right between a married man and a married woman, ruled that he needed to pay $100,000N.T. to his own wife. Hsieh’s wife filed for the appeal, and accused him of sending her insulting texts after the rulings of the first trial was finalized that “I hope your cancer spreads, and you die, I hope you die painfully”, “too greedy will get you NOTHING of mine!”, and other insults.
The High Subsidiary Court of Taichung found, that the messages that Hsieh’s wife provided the courts were the admittances of Hsieh and Jiang after they were confronted by her, that if they were only, normal friends, why would they feel compelled to make up the false statements, to cause one another’s marriage to crack, and based off of this, the courts confirmed, that Hsieh and Jiang were having a sexual relationship, and, on the counts of how Hsieh continued insulting his own wife after the first trial, with NO remorse over what he did, and tossed back the verdict of the first trial, and mandated that he pay his wife $450,000N.T.
And so, this is still NOT considered a WIN for the wife, she was cheated on, and, on the surfaces, this may look like justice served, because the man was awful, after he got caught, he’d, evaded his responsibilities, and, he’d, texted the messages, hoping that her cancer spread, that she dies in pain, etc., etc., etc., which was enough to show MALICE, and bad intent, so the courts found him to lose the case!
