The man, Hu worked as Chen’s bodyguard, accompanied Chen to the “Black Wind Fortress” to a confrontation call, he saw his boss getting ganged up on, in stressed situation, he’d, aimed the air gun at close range toward Huang’s head, pulled the trigger, the iron ball got into the man’s head, then, the man was beaten up by Huang and his gang. The air gun was tested for fire power, and it showed none, but the D.A. thought that there’s the intent to cause harm, and charged Hu, Huang, and another man on attempted murder and physical assault.
The thirty-eight year-old, Knife Hu is from Sinchuang, Hsinbei, worked as a bodyguard for “Brother Ken”, Chen, he’d only started working for a week as the man’s bodyguard before using an air gun to shoot the man. Chen had unsettled debts with Huang, on September tenth at night last year, they’d met out for a confrontation call.
Chen took Hu to the pub, and on the way, handed an air gun to Hu said, “something might go down tonight, do as you will.”
As they arrived, Huang and his gang surrounded Chen, as Hu saw that something was about to happen, he’d, pulled out that air gun, and, got to behind Huang, and, FIRED at close range.
The steel ball shot into Huang’s back of the head causing only a 0.5 centimeter laceration, didn’t touch any bones, Huang got angered, and held down his pain, and ganged up with Chen and Wu, and other on Hu; Hu suffered severe facial injuries, the tendons on his let thigh was hacked to injury.
As the police came, they’d taken Hu to the hospital, and started investigating the case, and, charged Hu, Huang, along with others who were there on arms possession, attempted murder, and physical assault, and other charges, sent to the D.A.’s office.
As Hu was taken into custody, he’d admitted to opening fire, claimed, “I am more than sure that it wouldn’t kill anybody, because it’s a FAKE gun!”, and said that it was for the sake of threating his opponents, “this is the way that works best!” and the D.A. concluded that the confiscated air gun did NOT have any power to kill, and, closed the case of Hu’s possession of a dangerous firearm.
But, aiming at Huang’s head at close-range, the D.A. believed that there’s the uncertainty of intent to murder, and Huang suffered contusion on his head, and Hu was charged with attempted murder, and assault.
Had it been a gun with the fire powers, then, this man would be looking AT murder, instead of just attempted murder AND assault here, and this still showed, how easily we resort to ARMS, instead of just, calming ourselves down, and just, TALK it out!
