A series of cause-and-effect, causing this, fatal car wreck, with the elderly woman losing, her life, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The seventy-two year-old elderly woman, Shih two days ago around the hours of midnight rode her scooter out to work, clipping off the betel nuts, on her way, she had a fender-bender with a seventy-eight year-old elderly man, Hong, Shih fell off her scooter, couldn’t get back up, Hong wasn’t licensed, feared getting fined, and ran off, in less than three minutes, the man, Lin was driving drunk, ran over Shih, killing her; at around noon yesterday, when the elderly man, Hong went to the police station, that was when he’d noted, how the woman, died, as the police interrogated both men, they were sent to the D.A.’s office, for the D.A.s to clarify exactly what happened.
Based off of understanding, Shih lived in Zhongzhen Village of Ren-Ai County, she and a woman, the sixty-three-year-old Yu who was from the same village would go out together to harvest the betel nuts together; at a little past four in the morn yesterday, the two elderly women went out by their scooters to work, as they past the county roads, because of how there’s not enough light, Shih who was riding up front crashed into the elderly man, Hong’s scooter, she fell to the ground.
As Hong helped Shih back to her feet, he’d left, and, Yu hurried, called in the accident to the police, and, in no more than three minutes afterwards, the twenty-six year old man, Lin came from the opposite direction, ran over Shih.
The witness, Yu told, that after Shih fell onto the street of the opposite traffic lanes, she seemed to have been injured and couldn’t get up, that she saw Hong help Shih get her scooter up, she thought he would stay, but, as she wasn’t paying attention to the man, he’d gotten up, and sped off, as she was just, calling it in, she saw a car coming, although she had waved for the driver to stop, but it was, too late.
By the time the police rushed over, Shih had, already died, she was rushed to the hospital, and couldn’t be save; Lin the driver told, that he’d felt that he had hit something, and got out to check, that was when he saw the elderly woman whom he’d run over; he’d tested 1.05mL for blood-alcohol concentration, and this was clearly a case of drunk driving.
The police reviewed the street surveillance, found Hong the elderly who’d hit the woman and ran off, Hong told, that he’d felt that something bumped into the back wheels, and as he saw Shih on the pavement, he worried that he will get caught by the police for riding without a license, and he didn’t have the registration of his scooter either, he’d left the scene, because he was, nervous, not realizing, that his hit and run had, caused the woman to lose her life.
After interrogations, the police charged Lin with public endangerment, manslaughter, while Hong was charged with hit and run, and the details and who is more to blame is still, pending investigation.
So, the primary party to blame was the elderly, who RAMMED over the elderly woman, he was driving without a license, and feared getting caught, and had he not walked off, to escape the police, then, the man who drove drunk may not have rammed the elderly over, and killing her, so, I think, the bigger of the blame was on the elderly man, but the man who was driving that Mercedes drunk is partially, responsible, but NOT as responsible as the elderly who’d HIT the woman, and ran off.–
