He’d Opened Fire on an Adversary in Romance, the Bullet Went Through, & Killed His Best Friend

Accidentally, SHOT his friend to death, and he’s, sentenced, very, severely for it!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

A man who owned a stand by the side of the streets, Lin and Wang fought for the attention of a woman, in March, they’d called one another out for confrontation, Lin had his friend, “Kai” to help him out; as Wang got into a fist fight with “Kai”, Lin opened fire at close range, the bullet passed through Wang’s right forearm, and, entered into his friend, “Kai’s” chest, Kai died of shock afterwards.  The Kaohsiung District Court found that Lin may not have the intent to murder his friend, and charged him with manslaughter sentenced him to nineteen years six months, and he can still appeal.

The deceased, “Kai”, shared the same last name as Wang.  Lin had a confrontation with Wang who was an adversary in love, at around four in the morning on March 31st, he’d called Kai out for a midnight snack and started, discussing the matter, Kai backed his friend up; on the same morn at around seven, the two drove to Wang’s residence, but Wang refused to talk about the matter in his neighborhood, so they’d set a location of their confrontation at the Fengxian Park at Fengshan, Kaohsiung.

As Kai drove to the park, he’d planned to originally, ram in, and hit Wang with his car, Lin told him to not do it, as Kai got out, he’d immediately gotten into a brawl with Wang, Lin also got out of the car, and joined in the brawl, used the handle of the gun, hit Wang’s head repeatedly, as Kai was fighting with Wang, Lin shot at close range, toward Wang’s body, the bullet hit Wang’s right forearm, passed through Wang’s arm, then, entered into Kai’s backside on the left, and, passed through his ribs, lung, the primary artery in his thorax, in the end, the casing of the bullet stuck at the muscles in his chest, just below the right clavicle.

After Wang and Kai were both hit, they were still fighting, but not long thereafter, Kai fell to the ground.  Lin tossed the gun in the park, and, had wanted to haul Kai into his car with Wang, but they couldn’t manage, Wang rushed home, and reported to the police, “there’s been a car wreck!”, then returned back to the scene.  And because the witnesses reported someone getting shot, the police and fire department rushed over, and, took both men to the hospital, then, arrested Lin.

During the trial, Lin testified, that the gun fired off by accident as they were fighting over it, the Collectivist Courts believed that the bullets fired from a higher angle, that normally, in the process of fighting for the gun, one would aim the muzzles away, didn’t take Lin’s testimonies, believed, that he’d fired the shot intentionally when the two engaged.  The district court believed, that Lin should KNOW that what he did would cause bodily harm, plus as Kai got shot, he’d not called it in immediately, there’s the unclarified intention of murder.

The Collectivist Courts considered that Lin refused to admit to guilt, that he’d served a seven year prison sentence for drug charges, plus Kai’s families asked for a heavy sentence, sentenced him to four years for possession of the gun, and fined him $80,000N.T.s, on the murder charges, he was given sixteen years, and stripped of his public office position for eight years, and, he will be serving a combined sentence of nineteen years six months.

And so, this time, an innocent “bystander” got MURDERED, in the process, and, after the man was caught, he’d, evaded responsibilities, (which signified that he wasn’t, remorseful over what he’d done), which is why the courts gave him a heavy sentence, and even IF the intent of murdering his friend wasn’t intact, he’d still, MURDERED his friend who was there, to help him confront an adversary.
