This is, great, injustice, how this LOSER got away, from the DEATH PENALTY, because he’d, turned himself in! Law and, DIS-order here, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The unemployed man, Su, because his parents stopped giving him money, he’d attempted to rob a nineteen-year-old part-time worker, Liu, was unsuccessful, and took a knife, and stabbed into Liu’s heart, killing him, during the trial, Su showed, NO sign of remorse, only stated coldly, “I’m sorry!”, the Taoyuan District Court believed that Su was malicious, that the death penalty should originally have been, enforced, but due to how he’d qualified for the sentence reductions for turning himself in, yesterday, the courts sentenced him to life in prison on robbery and murder charges, and he is to get strip of his government position for life.
As the verdict was read yesterday, Liu’s family was there, the judge, Lin stated that the murderer was originally sentenced to die, but, because Su turned himself in, and it’d made him qualify for a less severe sentence, he was given life in prison; the families told, that as they received the written verdict, they will discuss if they want to pursue the matter further with their own, attorney.
Su (age 34) at around eleven at night on March 27th of this year, ambushed in the intersection of Nanfeng Street of Pingzhen District, saw Liu alone walking, threatened Liu with a fruit knife to turn over all of his valuables, Liu refused, and, Su stabbed Liu in the chest, neck, and because Liu was stabbed in the heart, he’d lost too much blood, fell to the side of the road, and died.
The courts believed, that the injury that Liu sustained was seventeen-centimeters long, that Su used a ton of force in murdering him, causing the victims’ families to suffer great loss, and while Su had, gone and turned himself in at the local substation, turned over the weapon he used in the murder, but, in the interrogations, he’d denied having murdered the man, and not yet reached a settlement agreement with the victim’s families to date, only stated he was sorry for what he did to the families of the victim, it’s hard to know if, he had, any remorse in doing what he had done.
In the arguments, Su admitted to randomly robbing Liu as he walked by, but claimed that he had a weak lower back, and spine, that they were, his, Achilles’ heels, that during the physical engagements, Liu hit him, that was why he’d lost it, and started, stabbing the victim like crazy, and afterwards, he’d not thought too much, and washed away the blood on his hands, and the weapon he used for the murder.
Liu’s father cussed Su out, called him “garbage!”, “son-of-a-bitch”, that he’d raised up his only son, he was really kind to his families, and he’d wanted to help out with the household finances that was why he’d part-timed, but was, murdered at random, Liu’s mother also believed, that “a life for a life”, and his older sister teared up, stated, “my younger brother died in such an awful way!”
As Su heard, he’d only mumbled a barely audible, “I’m sorry”, and, as the court adjourned, the members of the victim’s families got so furious they’d rushed up to the stand, wanted to kick Su, but the bailiff prevented them from doing so.
And so, because this MURDERER turned himself in, that qualified him for a reduction of sentence, and so, instead of getting the DEATH penalty (which is what we expected a murderer to receive!) he received, a life-term, and, to the families of the victim, it is, still, NOWHERE N-E-A-R justice, because they’d, lost a good son, because the son refused to turn over the cash as he was being robbed by this murderer!
