How this woman tried to WEASEL out from getting punished for brutally torturing, then murdering her father-in-law, but the courts saw through that, and still found her guilty of murder! Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The woman, Chih was displeased at how her ninety-seven-year-old elderly father-in-law refused to take his nap, in the cold winter, she’d dragged him into he bathrooms, and showered him with cold water, sprayed him with bug spray, tortured him to death, she was charged with physical assault causing death, the first trial of the courts believed that Chih was diagnosed with schizophrenia, that she’d lacked control of awareness of what she was doing as she’d tortured her father-in-law, dropped the murder charges against her, but placed her under protective custody for five years; the High Courts of Taiwan believed that Chih took her beds at assigned times, that she’d behaved normally regularly, overturned the verdict, charged her with murder, sentenced her to fifteen years, placed restrictions of her going out of country.
As Chih’s mother heard the verdict, “I feel so awful”, and stated that she will file for the appeals, until the courts overturned the verdict to not guilty, hoping that her daughter can get the treatment she’d needed; she’d cried, that as her daughter and son-in-law got married for the second time, she’d consoled her daughter to stop her medication, so she could have a child, but caused the tragedy to happen instead, “I’m the one to blame!”
The verdict pointed out, that Chih was displeased at how as her father-in-law turned sixty, he’d finally signed the adoption papers for her own husband, so he could have someone to take care of him in his elderly years, and had been awful toward her husband as he tried to help take care of him, how she and her husband were responsible for hiring a foreign caretaker to look after her immobilized, father-in-law with multiple progressive conditions, while her husband worked out, as her father-in-law displeased her, she would snap away his cane, and start getting verbally abusive toward him.
On December 20th, 2018, Chih saw how after lunch her father-in-law refused to take his nap, she’d dragged him into the bathrooms, and in the dead of winter, showered him with icy cold water, used the toilet scrubs, the floor scrubs, and beaten her father-in-law, stomped on his thorax, and sprayed bug spray into the bathrooms, prohibited the foreign caretaker to bring her father-in-law food or water, then the following day, she’d tortured him using the same measures, causing him to die.
The first trial, based off of Yangming Hospital’s psych evaluations, that Chih had been troubled with schizophrenia long-term, that she became hallucinatory from the drugs she was using, suffered from paranoia, that her brain would have the discolorations when she’s anxious, that she’d not taken her medication regularly, that she’d had auditory hallucination when she’d committed the murder, couldn’t tell that she was doing something against the law, that she needed to be placed in protective custody long-term, handed out a not-guilty verdict.
After the appeal, the High Courts based off of the evaluations of N.T.U. Hospital, believed that during the time of the murder, Chih was in control of her behaviors, that before she’d murdered her own father-in-law, she’d been taking her medications like she should, that she wasn’t, mentally insane, during the two days she’d started abusing her father-in-law, she’d still had long calls with people from outside her home, and that she’d stopped abusing her father-in-law as her husband returned home, as she’d realized that her father-in-law was dead, before she’d notified the police, she’d, tossed out the frozen foods, then told the foreign nurse to tell the cops that her father-in-law tripped and fell in the bathrooms, to mislead the investigations, which showed she knew what she was doing.
The High Courts stated, that afterwards, Chih and her husband deleted the records of contact with their other relatives, to try to dodge getting caught, considering how Chih dropped out of her master’s program, who she’d worked as a clerk at a jewelry shop, a publicist in a bar, that the psych evaluation showed no signs of mental disorders, sentenced her on murder to fifteen years.
And so, this is a woman who’s, cunning, who TRIED to cheat the systems, but wasn’t successful, because of how elaborately she’d gone about, abusing her own father-in-law to death, how she’d, set it up like he had tripped and fallen in the bathrooms, knowing that she abused him to death, and this woman deserves the harshest of the punishments, for brutally torturing, and murdering her own father-in-law.
