The infant boy was, BAGGED up, then, TOSSED into the river, like a PIECE of, TRASH, and the bag with the dead body of the fetus got, carried off shore, and isn’t found yet, pregnant teens, too young, to cope with having a baby, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The nineteen-year-old unwed woman, Lu was pregnant for over eight months, two evenings ago, she’d given birth in the bathroom of her own home, her father who was forty-six-year-old bagged up the baby, added in some bricks, then, tossed into the Chien-Zhen River of Kaohsiung, then took Lu to the hospital, and the hospital found that she’d given birth, notified the police; the police and firefighters searched for a total of twenty-four hours, not found the infant, the D.A. went to the hospital to interrogate the woman, Lu needed to stay hospitalized, while Lu’s father and grandmother were charged with conspiring of disposing of the infant male, they were out on bails of $50,000 N.T. and $30,000N.T. respectively.
During the police investigations, everybody in the family testified, that “we all flew into panic”, seeing that the infant didn’t open his eyes, nor cried, they panicked, not knowing how to handle him, they’d then, tossed the baby into the river, they’d not checked the infant to see if it’s a boy or a girl. After Lu graduated out of technical high school, she’d not continued her education, and she knew, that the father of her son was supposedly her boyfriend, who’s only twenty years old, and her boyfriend lost contact with her, and was charged in a case of fraud unrelated to the events.
Two evenings at around five in the evening, Lu started feeling labor pains, gone to the bathrooms on the first floor of her home, about ten minutes, given birth, she’d called out, “Grandma!” to come into the bathroom, then, Lu’s father followed, found that the infant was upright, with the legs in the toilet, as he’d pulled the infant out, he’d, wrapped the boy up in a towel, then, placed him in a plastic bag, put in the bricks, rode his scooter to the canal of the town, to dispose of.
As Lu returned home, he’d rushed his daughter into the E.R., the hospital found the lacerations of her body signifying she’d given birth, but not seen the child, and the families couldn’t answer what happened, the hospital immediately notified the police, the police went to the residence, but the blood in the bathroom had been, cleaned off already.
The police reviewed over the street traffic cameras and found, that two evenings ago, close to six, Lu’s father rode out on his scooter, to the river close to their home, that he had a dark-colored plastic bag by the pedals, he’d circled around, and, as he’d returned home, about ten minutes later, there was no sighting of that plastic bag.
On that very night, the fire department sent the divers, and, they’d, searched the surfaces to the ferry statin a kilometer away, but, up to last night, they’d found, nothing, they believed that the bagged fetus had already floated offshore, they will be continuing their search today.
The Department of Sanitations in Kaohsiung checked the records, Lu never had the birthing exams; because the body of the fetus hadn’t been found, there’s no way of confirming the cause of death, the D.A. is currently prosecuting the case as a murder.
And so, this, is still, what happens to those, pregnant teens, they are, unready, to have a baby, and yet, as they gave birth, they all flew into this panicky state, and, they implicated their own families members, to help them get rid of the unwanted, the unplanned, pregnancies.
